Sounds like it's on it's way out. I am on my 3rd 722...they all start with same issue....sluggish responses, and then freezes up and reboots. My last one wouldn't let me make any changes to priorities without rebooting. Crappy HDDs I would guess.

I have never had that happen to me. The only time i lose a signal is a few minutes before a HUGE storm hits (2-3 times a year) and only then it's only for a few minutes. Sounds like an installer problem.

I have a 508 and it does not scroll fast by any means. My 811 scrolls 3 x as fast but it doesn't have the extended program guide that the 5XX receivers have.

Is there any site you can provide which shows the specs for the adelphia boxes? Their website doesn't seem to show them? Also, they provided you with an HD DVR?

I have my 508 hooked up via optical but the only time i hear DD 5.1 is when watching a ppv movie (i don't have any movie channels), so really it's a waste 99.9% of the time.

I would bet it only goes to 510 and higher models as they already pay the $4.99 DVR service fee, which up until now, was for NOTHING!! I can see them coming to us 508/501 owners saying you can have NBR for $4.99/month.

I know someone will correct me if i am wrong, but the xm satellites barely get a signal into alaska. i think the terms of service for xm indicate service is for the lower 48 states only.
