The day is not over yet. I don't blame you all for being hopeful though. Does the Genie have Pandora? Quite frankly, you could live fine off of that.
This stinks was hoping for SiriusXM and be gone with Sonic and the tech and manager I talked to on the phone said it is a contractual situation and till it is up it won't be back on Directv

Maybe it was pushed back because they keep talking about it coming back to DirecTV. They wouldn't talk about it if it wasn't happening....I'll keep you guys posted. It's all I listen to in my car so I'm not making this up......The doc said I wasn't crazy anymore lol
The folks at SIRIUSXM tell me they are exclusive on DISH and there are no plans to go back on DIRECTV at this time.

Dropped my Sirius sub after the year after year of rising costs, the pulling of streaming, and the removal of lots of content. Don't miss it one bit with Pandora or Slacker, but I really just listen to my 16gb stick in my deck the most. Nothing to fool with plunging and doesn't require me to look at it to operate it.
We wouldn't listen to it if it was on Directv either, never listen to the others that are there.

I got rid of mine a few years ago when they first started that "royalty fee" bull crap
^^This.. Slacker has the kind of playlists that XM USED to have before the merger. Plus there is a setting for each station to make it "hits heavy", balanced, or deep.
And yes its free, plus they give you 6 skips per hour (better than Pandora). The $4 a month Plus subscription is definitely worth it though.. Ad free, unlimited skips, and you can cache stations on your phone for listening when data is not available or if you don't have unlimited data.

Why would SiriusXM DJs talk about it on The Morning Mash-Up if it wasn't true? I've heard it mentioned many times over the past few weeks by Rich, Stan, Nicole
I'm sure Nicole probably read the long standing rumor on Wikipedia. If you have ever heard her guest appearances on Opie and Anthony,she is either hung over or going on a rant against her husband. I'm sure she just googled Sirius and found the wikipedia entry.
Time to sound mean: If you believe everything you hear then I have a few items I want to sell you. I am absolutely sure that it will be valuable in the future.
Don't believe everything you hear. I wouldn't get SiriusXM tips from The Morning Mash Up.
Liberty media purchased sirius/xm..they also owned(and spun off ) directv ..maybe thats what started the rumor
