Report DISH Guide Issues HERE

I reported my issues of mislabeled locals to Dish a few months ago and they fixed most of them after I got an e-mail telling me, "I can't help. Call the main number." So thank you to the folks at Dish Quality for getting it done somehow.

The issues that remain for me is mostly the "no guide data" problem (Cincinnati Area DMA):

9.3 WCPO no guide Data (LWN, soon to change to LAFF)

16.2 WPTD (dayton) No guide Data (16 Again - mostly PBS Encore)

for 42-2 you mean KSTC (which is 5-2 in the cities and known as "45"
KCCO & KCCW and KSAX & KRWF should be easy remaps as it is a full satellite of their respected motherships (WCCO and KSTP). We have the same problem at the lake house in Aitkin. We get KCCW OTA but no guide even though its identical to WCCO

I know Lima has a serious issue. In another thread we discussed Lima missing most guide data even on the major networks OTA signals.

I really don't care about the shopping channels and those like that, but there are some good channels with good content like movies and TV shows that we do like to watch because the programming and the channels are available ONLY on OTA such as COZY TV; AntennaTV; ThisTV; BounceTV; Movies! TV; CITY TV; ION Life; KOCE (PBS) World; MeTV at 56.3; The Works; Get TV; Escape TV; and Grit TV. The foreign language ones are important to those who would like to watch the programming and would be nice to have guide data, but I'm only concerned about the English language ones for our household.

Thanks to Dish for at least having some interest in this matter. I hope to see more guide data for as many channels as possible.

If Dish does something -- and I'll emphasize if again -- is it safe to say they won't do anything for stations that they don't carry ? In the post I listed Dayton's locals, I didn't include "WKOI", which is a TBN affiliate, because Dish doesn't carry them. In a later post, @TNGTony did list them (for Dayton / Cincinnati).

I am not referring to channels like GRIT TV, MyTV, etc that are sub-channels under a "major" network that is carried by Dish.

Interesting. I am looking at the guide right now (622 receiver) and I get the guide data for this channel. More importantly, it seems to be correct, while WXIX 19.2 (Bounce) has the occasional error.

Yes, it is. I realized this a little while after posting but I can't edit my post now though to fix it. I had used DishAnywhere and noted the channels that were missing. Turns out between switching between my TV's tuner and the Hopper's tuner, I didn't reconnect the antenna to the Hopper and even still, with just the dongle, I still picked up ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC (didn't get CW or the Cincinnati channels).

This sure proves that my idea to just let the receiver read the PSIP data for the sub channels and let DISH do the main 4 networks for guide data, is badly needed. This would solve the whole issue for everyone.

Iceberg already posted the solution, its just matter of someone @ Dish doing the right thing and fixing the obvious. Thanks to Scott for allowing us to post these issues.
I'll give it a month. I'm inundated with Tivo ads, bundle offers from Cox which would be cheaper with a $200 gift card that could cover way more than my ETF balance.
I even scored that SimpleTV EPG lifetime subscription for free deal in case if I go that route. I also have 4 HTPC's with WMC too.

I was a cord cutter. I came back to dish when the new Dallas series and new Cosmos series were announced. I wanted to use the best equipment out there to enjoy these shows, and have access to HBO. The Hopper/Joey system is really the best out there, but this issue is a big sore thumb that sticks out badly. I hope Dish can fix and maintain these issues, I would like to stay with Dish, I pay over $100 a month and support dish in their disputes with the providers and recommend Dish all the time. Many neighbors signed up with Dish soon after they saw my new black dish go up.

I have faith Dish can fix their guide issues.

There is still the wrong stars in the info for many long run shows. For example the guide still lists Christopher Meloni and Richard Belzer in Law & Order: SUV. Charlie Sheen is still listed for Two and a Half Men. Taraji P. Henson is still listed in Person of Interest. CSI still has Marg Helgenberger and William Petersen. And there are many more of these. For long running shows it would be much more interesting to see who the guest stars are in the episode.

The guide details you are referring to are displayed as Dish receives it - nothing they can do for that.
