Moving - what if no LOS?

I have used U-Verse at my MIL house and was very underwhelmed by it. The DVR seems light years behind my HWS and the channels don't seem to be arranged with any kind of rhyme or reason. I would have to be saving a ton of money to be forced to live with that on a daily basis.
No one is being FORCED to do either of the options mentioned.

Personally, if I wanted to see if I liked a product, I would talk with others that have the product, chances are they will let you check it out first.

Thanks, that is a good data point.

So, what is a ton of money to you? I would save about $500 per year, assuming I keep my AT&T Unlimited mobile plan. If I drop down to a 16GB plan, which is probably enough data, especially with roll-over, Dish would only cost about $50 more per year. Caveat: these estimates are all promotional pricing, so after 2 years, things would change. Based on current non-promotional pricing, U-Verse would cost me around $13 more per month than Dish/AT&T 16GB data plan once the 2 years are up.
