Wait till they see the loss in revenue when people are allowed to pick and choose.
You're looking at it backwards. Offering single team packages will likely increase overall revenues, not hurt revenues, because the market will open up to fans who, much like with cable TV, are tired of overpriced packages that include channels (in this case teams) that they have no interest in and don't want to pay for.

Depends on whether you think most of the people paying for NFLST today do so primarily to watch one team's games, or all the games. I think it is mostly the former, and offering a $125 option would cost them revenue.

The way the NFL sells streaming rights matters. Directv pays a flat fee to the NFL because they are getting an exclusive. Without the exclusive, such a flat fee deal makes little sense. All other sports rights are sold per viewer, and the NFL may have no choice but to offer rights the same way. Then it comes down to whether the NFL simply charges per viewer, or distinguishes between per team and all teams viewers. If they don't, there isn't going to be much difference in the per team / all teams pricing since what they pay the NFL won't change either way. If they do, then the NFL will effectively set the pricing (i.e. 50%/100% or whatever) based on what they charge for the rights.

How can you watch all the games when they are all on at basically the same time?... this isn't basketball, hockey or baseball..its one day a week..roughly a 8 hour window

Sent from my SM-G950U using the SatelliteGuys app!

Same way you watch them all now on satellite - you either have a wall of TVs in your basement or you record some of them. I guess they'd have to offer some on-demand streaming once the games are over.

But really most people only care about one or a handful of teams, which is why offering a 'single team' option if they do it at all wouldn't be offered for a whole lot less than the full package.

After being a customer since 2001, I just got off the phone with Directv and will be free of them after May 9. It has been a long run and not without some ups and downs, but I guess I can live without Sunday Ticket. I'll find out in September.

If you have a Roku/Firestick, Sunday Ticket may end up there in time. It all comes down to money. More and more people are cutting the cord and going with streaming.
