Quali-TV. I just wanted to get up and running so I used that receiver for those particular satellites. I now use the toroidal for G-10 and others. I use a satcruiser for my purposes now. The QualiTV is too important for HD feeds.

I didnt think the Toroidal was bad at all. I had mine tuned in less than 5 minutes after I put it on the the pole. To me putting it together was the hardest part. After that everything else was a breeze.

I get IA-6 fine. Are you sure you are at the right loaction. Go to G-11 transponder10, the shopping channels should be there. Then bump it to the west until you see PBS. Its on transponder 8 so you will have to turn the channel to 8 before bumping the dish west.

That mandate is for OTA only. It has nothing to do with satellite. I dont know what kind of receiver you have but it should work fine for whatever is up there in the compatable receiver you have.

The PC card solution is alright but there is a huge learning curve with them. I much prefer the Integra or the QualiTV to the PC solution. Its just considerably more money.

Greg, I have the Von Weise 76-5(1500 pound load) I believe, it is 24" arm. It has worked flawlessly for the last 5 years. There are others like Thompson Saginaw that are more costly but are also very good. Maybe a little better than the Von Weise. But I cant image it performing any better...
