Very long shot... The Soup is pillarboxed. The HD shows (e.g., Kendra, the Kardashians, Chelsea Lately) on E! tend to be letterboxed.

Is D* carrying this as well? With Direct dropping Vs. and passing on WFN and ESPN U HD(for now), they don't seem to be placing as much of a premium on the non-major sports.

Good grief, people. TV One is a channel that competes with BET. Anyone notice that Bend, OR actually got a HD PBS? This is a town with less than 100k. Yet quite a few larger metros are left holding the bag. Dish does some strange things.

It should work just fine provided your switch doesn't go nuts. I never had a 61.5 dish. My four Dish locals come through in perfectly soft HD-lite. Sorry, Dish, I do notice the difference between down-rezzed, bitstarved MPEG4 and my fuller bitrate MPEG2 OTA feeds.

They need to move FTV and Mav on 129 as well. Both of those channels (especially FTV) macroblock like crazy.

Reads a little like the defunct Rush HD from the old Voom suite. That was one of my favorite channels. I wouldn't mind checking Fuel HD out.

I got it. I have the exact same package plus 3 premiums. They're showing The Cookout with stretch-o-vision pan and scan! Maybe Dish is doing the upconversion. No other Viacom networks stretch 4:3. VH1 HD is showed a pan and scan 4:3 upconverted pillarboxed version of Grease earlier today...
