my 24" actuator can get me from 72west to 139 west... not sure how far an 18" will span...

if the actuator is new... its worth around $70- $75... and why would a mesh dish need to be washed??? :confused:

desertnight, what size dish are you using? I have no problems pulling in "this tv" on 87 with my 10 footer... i think its the strongest signal on the sat... also I used to get it with my 6 footer with no problems...

the dmx522 performs very well... I would like to try out a esx522... not sure if there is a big diff or not? the specs are almost identical...

I use a geosat C2 on my 10 footer, and am very pleased with it. I have wanted to try out the esx242 for a bit now... I still use my dmx241 on my 7.5 footer, it works very well. I'm also kinda curious to try out the KU lnbf esx522... its hard to pick just 1 cband sat, because I'm usually...

I guess there is a chance the lnbf is faulty...

did you have a universal lnb before? if not you will have to change your lnb settings to; universal 10600/9750 22k auto...

your dish looks just like mine... but mine is stamped "digiwave"...

signal still good for me too(on the 10 footer)... and I have a tree partially blocking the line of sight to the sat...

I second that... coolsat5000/6000 menus are easy to use, it has quick blind scan, nice pic quality, and very good motor control...

coolsat5000 or coolsat6000 can auto move, and blind scan however many sats you select... just dvb-s, NOT dvb-s2 it works great, I use that feature all the time... it waits untill its on the next sat before continuing to scan. coolsat5000/6000 has very good motor control, and a quick blind scan

pretty sure if you insert a dielectric place in any linear lnbf (or on the end of the lnb cover)... it will change it to circular...

signal looks the same for me(90-91%) on coolsat6000... it hasnt changed all week... and I blind scan that sat every day...

pansat 9200 scanned it in with no problem on a blind scan...

its not off the air... its still up for me...

channel is working fine on coolsat6000... strong signal. but it will only blind scan in when I select "3.7 and under" in the blind scan menu... it doesnt find it on a "full" scan... gonna check the pansat9200 and report back...

its slow... but probably the most accurate scanner is a pansat9200 with the add on dvb-s2 tuner... the vantage is also good, and faster scanning, but misses a couple feeds now and then.. or you could get another openbox, but that doesnt tell you if a feeds is dvb-s or dvb-s2...
