RV Install of Winguard single lnb dish, no signal?

I had this problem, too - although my dish was tripod mounted on the ground, not on my camper roof. I could get signal on every other transponder. For testing purposes, I just sat in the garage with a little TV, my receiver and the dish. Tried different coax cables, and different ports on the...

    Broadband Connection Problem

I got the same message this morning. Dish done goofed something up again.

    Lima Ohio Locals

I'm pretty frustrated in general with Dish and their local HD service. 2006 is now 2008, and still no locals in HD in sight for Dayton, Cincinnati, Lima, etc... ARe all the stations in these cities owned be the same company? Same thing with Indy... Cincinnati and Indy are around DMA 30-35...

No new HD for a while?

Ummmm. According to the official IRS "schedule" for tax rebate payments, mine was to be deposited in my account this morning... And it was. Perhaps one day the same will hold true for Dish. Seems like Dish is behind the 8-ball, string of bad luck, whatever you want to call it. They'll get it...

No new HD for a while?

Rumors or not, without Scott's information/input, we wouldn't hear squat from or about Dish.

any new HD rumors for 5.1.08?

Why are the VOOM Networks so bad?

Voom was one of the reasons I went with Dish Network originally. But to be honest, I haven't really watched much on Voom lately, as it seems every time I turn it on, it's a repeat. I generally watched Equator, Rave and Treasure... Treasure mainly for Elise Luray... I thought the show Chasing...

    Cincinnati HD Locals

Channel 9 is VHF while all of the others are UHF. I was told by Dish Network in 2006 that I'd have the locals in HD by the end of 2006... And then they kept dragging it out further and further, and now we're not even on their radar. My contract is up in August of this year, so that's the do...

What are Dish CSR Saying about adding hd Feb. 1

I was having a bad day until I read that. That's freakin' hilarious!

    Quick Poll

My contract is up in August. If Dish hasn't made some moves towards expanding their HD offerings (i.e. launch new sats), and don't have my locals in HD by then, I'm out. They've strung me along for 2 years already...

Columbus, Ohio Locals in HD ?

Cincinnati hasn't gotten theirs either, and D* has had them for a year or two. Thank God for OTA.

Charlie Chat Caps and Bytes 12-10-07

, and when Cincy comes online, I'll just "move" there. Cincinnati HD locals? I'm interpreting that map as it being Louisville, not Cincinnati, planned for 2008... I hope I'm wrong.

Cincinnati locals would be nice, too. Same deal for us, been promising them to us forever and ever.

    Local Channels HD

Wow... I though you guys up north already had your locals in HD... Do any of the markets in Ohio have their locals in HD? I'm in Cincinnati, and we have been put on the back burner by Dish, too.

SatelliteGuys.US DishNetwork Uplink Activity Report - Week Ending 04/14/2007

Not to get too off topic here, but seeing as everyone's talking about RSN's: I was watching the Reds of FSN Cincinnati the other day, and they were all excited about announcing the game was being broadcast in HD. All I could do was chuckle, because I know Dish and Warner don't broadcast...

    625 Skipped all recordings

Thanks for the input, everyone. Sorry to hear that others had the same problem, but at least I know now that it wasn't something I did or didn't do correctly. Hopefully this problem was a one time deal, but I think that for a "work around" or "insurance policy", I think what I'll do is try...

    625 Skipped all recordings

Hi everyone. I searched this forum for this problem and didn't find it. If I missed a thread, I apologize, and please point me in the right direction. I am new to E*, just switched over from D* a couple of weeks ago. I have a 625 receiver, and here is what happened: Last night, I...

It may be time to go to DISH network or cable.

I think what DishDave was saying was that if the credit hit on last months bill, and the charge hit on this months bill, the total is a wash. Last month, you would have paid $70 less on your bill, and this month you'll pay $70 more. Over two months, that comes to a net of $0. I'm not...

Directv Going To Lease Only On 3/1/06

Your point is well taken. I should have been more clear that I was focusing on customers wanting to get an HDDVR, not those who already own all of their equipment.

You can only lease ONE HD DVR per year now

It seems all the sat companies are acting goofy right now. After calling D* yesterday to see if I could get a deal on the HDDVR, and get some details on the lease, needless to say I was a little disappointed with D*. So, I called up E* and told them that I wanted to leave D* and come...

Directv Going To Lease Only On 3/1/06

The entire decision/structure of the new D* lease program baffles me. I cannot find any significant reason that going to a lease structure would be beneficial for an end consumer. Given the previous comment sin this thread, such as the $470 fee for returning a damaged unit, $499 up front...
