Yeah, I figured there would be a tremedous delay between different sat changes when surfing. I was mainly concerned about performing a check switch, I was wondering how many sat locations would be searched during this process if it was happy with the setup.

Out of curiosity is the receiver facing the TV? If so, try to move the 322 so the light emitted from the TV does not drown-out the IR receiver.

Some receivers you can turn it off, while others you can only change the scheduled time. Look under MENU -> SYSTEM SETUP -> PREFERENCES -> UPDATES. I don't believe you can turn it off on a DVR receiver.

I thought you could simply replace the LNB with a .4 for the EA conversion. The rest of the dish is physically the same, isn't it? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Really no need unless you want a black receiver and a bigger hard drive, that's really the only main differences between the 622 and 722. Or you can wait for the 722k, which has the two-way remote capability, but I'm guessing that might be added to the 622/722 with a software update in the near...

Not true, mooneye. You can change the remote address at any time by holding down the SAT key until it stays lit, entering the new address (1-15) and pressing the # key. Once the address has been changed, you can relearn it using the same aforementioned process.

Press the SYSTEM INFO button on the front panel and press REC on the TV2 remote to learn it. Also, be sure to have your remote antenna installed on the rear of the 722.
