The games will be in HD, but the studio shows will be in SD until the new control room comes on line. As to Dish carrying it in HD, its in negotiations at this time.

Yeah that battle goes on all the time at work, but the graphics junkies always seem to win. I think there is way to much on the screen too and they still keep asking us to add more. HD did not give way to bigger pictures in some cases, it just gave way to adding more graphics.

I dont know about the amp, but for that distance I would run RG11 instead of RG6. Right from the start that will help your signal level. Plus for burial RG11 is a much more substantial cable.
