    Cord cutting still subpar

Posting a follow-up to my earlier post about being quite disappointed with streaming services, especially Directv Now. I recently signed-up for FuboTV and have to say I am quite pleased with what I'm getting. Picture quality is good and there have been very few pauses in content being delivered...

    Cord cutting still subpar

I recently dropped my Dish service and have tried the same list of streaming services that the initial post listed. I have to agree with his conclusions and especially about DTVN. I signed-up with DTVN and pre-paid 4 months so I could get the free Apple TV but I now regret having done that. I...

    Looking to reconnect

This is starting to get comical. I got a Dish "Comeback" offer in the mail on Friday. The letter had no specifics but did list a website that provided a phone number or chat icon. Since I've had such bad luck with calling, I chose the chat option. After a bit of back-and-forth, the agent said...

    Looking to reconnect

Just thought it might be helpful to add that I still have my Hopper 3. I haven't returned it yet.

    Looking to reconnect

My Dish service was set to expire a few weeks ago and I decided to let it expire so I could give the streaming services a try. I have a single Hopper 3 and was getting the America's Top 120 Plus package and was paying $65/month. I've decided that the streaming services, although not bad, have...

    PIP Issue

Hi. I used to be able to use the side-by-side PIP option without issue, but when I select that option now I get one 1/2 screen image on the LH side (like I should) but the image shown on the RH side is the smaller window in the upper RH corner. They should both be 1/2 screen images, so there's...

    Adding a Joey

Hi - I'm guessing this info in somewhere within the topics on the site, but I did a search and couldn't find my specific questions. Sorry if this is a repeat... I have a Hopper 3 and want to add a Joey to my son's bedroom. Questions: Which Joey should I get? It will be for a 4K TV Costs: Is...

Can Remote turn off Hopper 3 and TV at same time?

Hi! I’m a former Directv subscriber who came to Dish about a month ago. I have a Hopper 3 and the 52.0 remote and really like Dish so far. Always looking to improve my experience, so I have a question about a minor “annoyance”. With my Directv system, when I turned the system off using my...

Sports Pack - will I get all content?

Thanks for the answer. It might be worth it just for Gopher hockey! Once again - thanks!

Sports Pack - will I get all content?

Sorry to take you back over a topic that has probably been discussed before, but couldn't find the answer in my search of previous posts. I'm moving from Minneapolis to Denver. If I add the Sports Pack when I get set-up in Denver, will it give me all the games on the RSN in Minneapolis? That...

    Best Deal for Re-subscribing?

My girlfriend has been a long-time subscriber and hasn't upgraded along the way, so she has old equipment - no dvr and no HD. I would like to help her upgrade to HD, an HR34 and one other HD receiver. What's the best approach anyone has experienced in getting the equipment and programming at the...

    Directv Networking Question

Do Both DVRs Need to be Networked? I have two HR22s, both with the new software. One is networked the other is not. Do I need them both networked in order to make MRV work? Thanks!

    Weather Channel Local Content Feedback

I like the new feature. I would second what I read in an earlier post: put the radar in motion. It makes it much more useful.

Replacing E* dish with D*: How Much New Equipment?

I am making the switch from E* (a 522 receiver with a 500 dish) to D* (2 HD DVRs and 1 standard receiver). So right now I have a single dish on my garage with two cables running along my house, going to two rooms. I know the dish and receiver are going to have to be replaced, but can...

    testing the waters here...

Question for ScoBuck (forgot to ask this in my original post): If you are recording one show and watching another, can they both be in HD, or does one have to be SD? Thanks!

    testing the waters here...

Sorry if this is the wrong thread to post this question, but I remember reading some post previoulsy that the DirectTV DVRs were not as user-friendly as the the DISH DVRs. Does anyone have experience with both and can render an opinion? I'm thinking specifically of the HD DVR for DirectTV...

    testing the waters here...

That's a great feature. I am currently a DISH subscriber, with the dual receiver (522). But it feeds two TVs, and if I am recording a show, I only have one tuner free to watch something else. It's limiting!

    testing the waters here...

Just a question on the HDDVRs. There was mention that you can record two shows at the same time - can you record a show while watching a show with the Direct TV HDDVRs? Thanks!

    Buy My Own 722 Units?

Isn't that what the 722s name has been changed to? In any case, I was referring to the 722s. Thanks!

    Buy My Own 722 Units?

I currently have a 522, and am looking to upgrade to HD on two 722 units so I can get HD on two TVs. When I do the "Dish builder", DISH wants to charge me $249 up-front, plus an "HD leased receiver fee" of $7/month. Is it possible for me to buy a couple of 722 units on my own and have DISH...
