Did you call and complain to dish? I put in a problem report and twittered my disappointment. The said said that "no one else was complaining" so it must be at my end. Is there anyone at the NHL to complain to? Anyone we can get to before the game is over to verify the crappy quality?

My experience is the same as yours but with the Dallas stars. I live a few hundred miles away and get blacked out only on NHL network, not on any of the other center ice channels. I looked into the rules a few years ago and it seems that there is a 50 mile sphere where one will be blacked out...

I would assume that is because the NHL provided feed of fox sports teams are satellite feeds from the arena trucks and do not contain any commercials other then the ones the NHL slips in. When the NHL person at the control board slips you get to hear them doing not for broadcast banter

Interestingly this evening dish is showing the flyers feed of the st Louis vs philadelphia although the schedule listed the blues feed. Could it be a small dig at fox?
