    Did I fry my LNB?

Hi all. Just got a new Manhatten RS-1933. Hooked everything up and have had no problems pulling in the FTA channels on the C-band birds. Initially was pulling in Ku on L5 and some other sats, but little by little it's gone away. Changed out the Diseqc switch and now I get no Ku anywhere at...

Seriously DEPRESSED -- Lost My MPEG!

FaT Air and gpat: This is great stuff and I really appreciate it. Will go thru these suggestions one at a time and finally get to the bottom of this, thanks to you two. Happy New Year.

Seriously DEPRESSED -- Lost My MPEG!

I have my old C/KU BUD for no other reason than to surf the sky and pull down MPEG channels with my Traxis. It's a sick hobby, I know, but I love it nonetheless. My DSR 922 has lately refused to move to other satellites. The dish counter number does not change, although the screen tells me...

dsr 922 and a dish position counter that won't advance

To the satellite-guy community: you guys know more than anybody. Period. So after screwing with my dsr 922 and big dish on my own, working with Skyvision where I purchased it, etc., I turn to you for help. My dsr 922's dish-position counter does not change when I move my dish. I recently...

Call to all of you who really know what you're doing (not like me)

Thanks for the tip. I'll got to The List and see what happens on the 24/7 signals. Trial and error and patience will get me there. Sometimes my box just does moody things, like it's having a bad day, then comes around again and works just fine.

Iceberg: I am absolutely honored that you weighed in on this "newbies" petty little issue, since you are a certified GOD on this website and throughout the entire FTA world as far as I can tell!. I'll delete the transponders and the sats as you suggest. Here's the next weird thing that's...

Call to all of you who really know what you're doing (not like me)

Thanks for the solution. I did a "delete all" before I started rescanning every satellite. I take it that DOESN'T clean out my memory? I'll try the "unplug and replug" thing to see if that does the job. I'd like to completely empty the memory before rescanning the birds again. I...

Thanks for the tips. I'll give those a try. I'll bet it is about the lack of memory space.

Call to all of you who really know what you're doing (not like me)

I need some help. I cleared out my old Traxis 3500 channel listings because I had so many old/obsolete channels in there and I wanted to just go across the arc and rescan (blind scan) every satellite so that I had a current/accurate channel list in my unit. Working west to east, things were...

    Hello to the Group

Hi. This is my first post and I just wanted to thank all of you guys for being there as a resource. I live in Arizona and have a c/ku band big dish, 4dtv receiver, and an MPEG receiver. It's been several years since I've tuned my dish, and was wondering if you could point me to a good source...
