Idle question,
I live in Iowa where we effectively don't have any tectonic activity, so I'd like to ask, if you're living on the west coast,
how often, if ever, do you have to re-align your dish because of tectonic activity?
Is there a rule here about adding links in comments?
I see the link I tried to put in to a gizmo on Amazon is just a blank space.
But I'm wondering if I can get my Dish receiver and recorded material on my monitor.
I haven't tried Dish Anywhere for a long time since it adamantly refused to...
Not a channel, but it wouldn't be pretty nifty if they could make something like a thermometer and wind speed indicator on the dish that you could pop up on the tv.
Turn the dish into your own home weather station.
Success!
Now why on Earth did I record all this junk?
One problem though. The Up arrow won't work. So I can go through the recordings with the Down arrow but once it gets to the bottom it's stuck there. If I change it with Sort by Date or Sort by Name it goes back to the top but still the...
We have an older 510 receiver that's been sitting around doing nothing since we upgraded a couple of years ago.
I would like to be able to access the stuff that was recorded on the dvr on the 510, but I'm having no luck.
None of the remotes that came with it are still around, the oldest we...
You're right, the reviews on most of those cables are dismal, so I'm looking at this one at $11.99,

Interesting, and practical if we think of potential future expansions, but 100ft of ethernet cable is $7.58 on Amazon.
I'd like to ask, at such a low price would I have to think about quality control issues in the cable?
Yes the tv is wifi enabled, but my understanding is the cables will be a better connection.
Two cables will be cheaper than one cable and two splitters, but I think the prices on ethernet cable at Amazon are about a third of where they were last time I looked.
Is there some trick I'm missing here?
We just got a new HD tv with internet apps on it, so my question is,
what is the best way to hook up this and the 722 receiver to the internet so I can use both the Blockbuster@home app and the internet apps on the tv?
(I'm thinking two short lengths of ethernet cable to an ethernet splitter...
Well. Ok. Did that. Now they both work. :)
Is it notillogical that one remote should lose it's capacity to function and have to be reset like that in this circumstance?
I have a 722.
Is there some reason why I cannot get two remotes to work with TV1 at the same time?
I program one and the other immediately won't work, I do it again and the other one won't work.
Am I doing something wrong?
Success!
I did it! Was inadvertently leaving out the last step, 'record'.
Would I be able to get the other remote, the 6.3 IR/UHF Pro, with a switch inside the battery compartment that says A to B, to work as well?
