sorry this one got away, I'm not getting any email notifications I want to add a receiver [which we own], which is closer to the dish [new 3 months ago hd model] what kind of switch can I use to split the signal? a DPP 44 seems like overkill & pricey $100 my existing set up is probably 250 ft...

Before the tech my signal was high 20's to mid 30's we've been having steady rain & no problems all I can say is spend the $6 per month on the service contract & bother em until it works

A different tech, better results apparently the last tech was trying to shift the blame to the to the trees, which are only a minor blockage according to this tech signal up in the middle 40's on 129 we haven't lost signal even during some moderate rain :D

The tech is supposed to come out this morning I'll let everyone know how it turns out

I'm down to HBOz as the only channel that is hd only I think I could accomplish the work around you are suggesting how can I figure out what the orientation of 129 is relative to 110[center I think] ? I may just have the tech align for the other 2 aligning for all 3 is going to be a compromise...

Ever since we got the new converter & dish watching local channels that are only available in hd has been problematic there are a few of the HBO's that are HD only & seem to work equally sporadically we're waiting for the 3rd service call in 2 months

How do I switch between the 2 [built in] converters? I seem to be stuck sometimes if there is a recording in process I don't seem to get a choice besides stopping the recording & going to live mode

I keep having signal loss, problem is the queue for a service call is a week I'm wondering about going back to the old dish remounted in a more advantageous place? how would I determine the optimum location?
