    Thanks for the clear explanation.

Watch same content on two (or three or four) TVs?

We will probably have a Hopper/Joey system installed in the next week, supporting four TVs. My wife likes to move around the house, watching the same content on more than one TV. (We have been fulltiming in a motorhome for the last 13 years, so having the same thing on two TVs was easy.)...

    Distant Networks Changing Channels

I see on the guide that my distant networks (9950-9958) are moving to different channels. Does that mean that I need to re-do all my timers, or with they be moved automatically? (722 receiver)

    Acutrac III+ and 1000.2

I just bought an Acutrac III+ to use with our Dish Network 1000.2 on a portable tripod. We often park the RV in heavily treed areas, so getting the 110, 119, and 129 can be a challenge. I thought the Acutrac would make it easier. It does make it easier, but I can't get it to work without...

Cost of second receiver, and more

I am considering buying a used 311 receiver and putting it in the garage, hooking it up to the old analog TV out there. That will cost me $7.00/month from Dish, correct? I have a 1000.4 dish on the garage, with an unused coax that I can use. Will that work with an old 311 receiver...

Do I want Dish to access my receiver?

"Dish knows much more....they know what you watch, what you dvr'ed, when you watched what your dvr'ed, if you used any trick features during that playback etc...if that bothers you then you will need to go back to just OTA because most providers today have this capability." If that bothers...

    Connecting Second TV to 722K

Bingo! That was it! After scaping the dust off the back of the old TV, I found that I had the cable connected a "VHF/Cable" port. I moved it to the UHF connectors and voila! Thanks!

    Connecting Second TV to 722K

The channel I select for TV2 has no effect on the garage TV. If I set TV1 to channel 60 I get virtually no picture. If I set it to 31, I get a snowy picture, but it's the best I can get. We operate the receiver in Single Mode. Does that make a difference? Thanks for your help.

Do I want Dish to access my receiver?

It's not what they could do to my receiver, it's what information they could retrieve from it. I don't wish to be subjected to marketing campaigns based on my viewing habits. I wouldn't be surprised if Dish even sold such information to third parties. On the other hand, I don't pretend to...

Do I want Dish to access my receiver?

My concern was Dish accessing information from my receiver, which they cannot otherwise do.

Do I want Dish to access my receiver?

Yesterday the installer came out to our summer parking place and installed a dish for us. He also installed a Wi-Fi adapter on our 722K receiver and had me connect it to our Wi-Fi network. (We have no land line.) Our Dish bill is paid automatically through a credit card, and we don't do...

    Connecting Second TV to 722K

We finally arrived at our summer parking spot. I connected the garage TV to the Home Distribution port on the receiver. In the Modulator Setup menu, I experimented with the air/cable, Home Distribution/Direct Connect, and channel number settings. The best picture I can get in the garage...

    Connecting Second TV to 722K

We travel full time, living in our RV. We recently replaced our 510 receiver with a 722K in our motor home. When we get back to our summer parking place next week, I need to connect the old SD TV in the garage to the receiver. With the 510, I simply ran coax from the "Second TV" port on the...
