Saw some guessing in other posts, but what exactly does it mean in the guide.

This started on my wired J3 a few months ago (H3 seems fine), never had a problem before that. I saw some info here, to turn "volume leveling" off, & maybe "dolby audio", which did help, but not entirely. Any other tips to help this problem? Maybe the splitter at cable box? Thanks,

I changed the hdd enclosure, & when I turned it on, & saw a message to format the hdd, of course I reversed what I did. Does that mean if the enclosure needs to replaced, all recordings are lost ?

I recently was able to transfer from H3 to EHD. For some reason I was thinking copy to EHD. I didn't realize that it removed from the H3, but I can understand the reason. I guess the only advantage to the process is if the H3 goes down, EHD can transfer back to the replacement. If H3 goes...

I have a new 1tb external hdd, with only a single cable to plug to the H3. I don't see anything come up in settings. It only gets power from usb, do you need one with another power source ? Never tried this before, so I'm not sure what I need.

When turning on a TV, what causes it to default to a certain channel? The TV it self, (programming, memory .etc), or possibly dish? A way to change it? I never really cared until recently.

The Joey with my hopper 3 skips ahead when fast forwarding a recording. It only happens in standard definition, HD no problem. If I play it on the hopper, the recording plays fine. Anyone else have this problem?

I'm thinking about this adapter for my hopper 3. When searching for places to buy, I see the some pictures show a vent on the part, others don't. Are there different manufacturers ? I've read how they heat up, so the vents sound like a good thing. Can anyone shed more light on this...

I found out if a 2nd dish is installed, I won't be charged an additional $12.00 each month for local stations. Anyone who has this setup, can you please tell me exactly how it's wired to the house cable? Two dishes into one down lead? TIA
