The most recent (unconfirmed) numbers I have seen are about 17% of all households with a TV are getting their signal via OTA. I am one of those, and very interested in this technology. Going to be interested to watch.

Got the HBU33 setup today. Easy t put together and mount in the attic. Went from 19 channels with so-so reception to 60 channels with great reception on most of them. Glad I made the choice I did. Very happy.

Thanks for the input...based on what I have seen/read/been recommended, I will be going with the HBU33.

So last week I finally made the decision to go OTA and ditch Satellite after 12 years. To test it out I bought a basic indoor rabbit ears antenna and was surprised at how well they worked. But is very sensitive to weather. So I want to get a more robust antenna (and anything else recommended)...

Just to complete the circle for this thread...the replacement R15 arrived as informed on Friday, and was BRAND NEW this time....worked out of the box and she is online and going. Even though it was unfortuante and disappointing that this happened, and hope they can work on not having this...

I disagree with premature....issues like this need to be out in the open to be heard. It is by no means an attack on anyone, but a description of what occured and a way to do better business. I said I was disappointed, not boycotting anyone or getting all huffy about anything, just disappointed.

The way they have dealt with this issue is first class. I hope I did convey that at the end of my message that they were fixing the issue. I just hope that they can improve on not allowing a previously opened item to go out...but I do understand things happen..... and it was just a message...

Not in the Best Buys down here. Was in one yesterday and they had the R10, but not the R15. Said they don't know when they will see them either. I wasn't looking necessarily to buy, just killing time while the wife was out doing her thing. I will likely do it through Robert at Value...

A side question to this....currently you cannot get the locals in HD nor with Dolby SS 5.1. Does this upgrade (when implemented) mean the SS will now function? If so, will it only work with a HD box?

Interesting...I have not tried to record anything with the UTV yet on the new XM channels....will have to see if I can do anything with them tonight.... Sometimes I woudl like to be able to backup and hear it again or pause it so someone else can in a minute or two.

I am still using a UTV, and love that 30 sec skip ahead...but could get use to living without it...but they need some kind of way to make it a bit easier than having to dump out and jump back to get to the start of the scene.

Now the search for the channels I liked before starts again....not having XM previously I really dont know much about their offerings but woudl assume they have comparable (if not better) channels. Just hope I can get channels like the old MC 815, 818 and 819 like channels again.

This is what I woudl prefer....just buy a season pass for a specific team. I really don't need all the games. I just need my team.

TRUE! I still have an UltimateTV (and love it), but will likely replace it a few months after the R15s come out (and I get really see how it works).

Good....it was an annoying practice and really messed with DVR folks when conflicts came up.

This is why I still have it too. I am amazed that the other dual turner DVRs did not go with built-in PIP. It is an awesome feature of UltimateTV.

I just moved 3 weeks ago, and had no issues with our local guys. They were there the day/time and got it all going without any issues.
