I am having Directv installed on Monday and I was told I need to buy a tripod since I live in an apartment. So my question is where can I buy one locally? I just north of L.A.? They installation company will sell me one for $60 but they told me it would be cheaper if I were to buy it myself...

Hey Thanks guys.. I called them about 3 weeks ago and they said it was a 2 yr. contract did they change it to 1 yr.? I was hoping to get the instant rebate for the HD receiver. I'm just looking to get the best deal with the least amount of out of pocket cost!

Quick question.. if i sign up for new service with DirecTV and then have to cancel for some reason before the 2 year contract is up do i have to pay the early termination fee or can i just return the equipment and call it even? thanks

I thought i did i have done all the initial setup and everything but it still looks like a crisp clean picture. i was thinkin that maybe it is just the tv but when i put in a dvd it looks so much better.. i know that a dvd is higher quality but it is really noticeable

I have Directv service through SBC (its the only one i can use due to living is this apartment complex) It is a Sony Receiver model: SAT-B55 there is a satellite on top of our building I can only see part of it but it looks bigger than the usual Directv dishes. Hope this gives you better info...
