You should be able to hit 129 with a wing dish. It's hard to fine and the signal is weak now but will get much better around January. You may have to shoot between the trees, your wing dish can be a pretty good distance from your main dish to be able to find it. When I was trying to find 129...

I agree it's probably the cable. I had a similar situation happen to me. I replaced the cable from the dish into my receiver and the problem went away.

One other thing I thought was a little interesting. When they installed the dish for 77 they said I was the first person in southern Indiana to get locals HD off the satelllite.

Well, we just got done with the install. In Louisville they will try and use the 10.4 dish if you have MPEG4 and the new card and use the eastern arc. With my install because living in the woods I have to have a separate dish for 129 and 77 and then one dish for 110 and 119. This means I have...

In Louisville 41 and 15 do have HD over the air but as of now you will not be able to get HD on 41 or 15 from the satellite. I will not have to pay for the upgrade or extend my contract. I'm hoping they will be able to hit 77 with a single dish because I live in the woods and it's not easy...

41 and the others are only SD. You would think down the road they would put 15 and 41 HD.

Dish for 77 I just got off the phone with Dish and they will be installing a new dish to get 77 this Monday so I can get HD locals here in the Louisville area. She said she was not for sure which dish they will be using with my setup. I'm not a new customer.

Is Louisville is on the Eastern arc? Do we know when existing customers will be able to get the HD locals?

It would seem customers in Louisville will be needing 129, 119,110 and now 77 to get local HD. That doesn't make sense.

I'm hoping we will have the spotbeam with the new sat coming up at the end of the year.

Louisville is in the same situation. It would seem they are working on the Eastern Arc first and then work on us with the Western Arc. The next sat goes up may have something to do with us which is at the end of the year. I've called Dish but they didn't have any answers.
