Hi guys, Right now I have a dual LNB dish with 2 basic receivers. If I wanted to hook up HD to one of the TVs will it require running more lines from the dish to inside the house or does it just require a multi-switch outside with no more lines going inside the house. Thanks

I read Earls review on the D12 before I posted this thread. Earl says the D12 is fast, but he doesnt say its "faster" than the D11. Thought I might get an opinion from someone who has used both models.. Thanks

Anyone have a D12 receiver yet.. If so, is there any difference in the user interface at all?? Also, does the D12 respond faster than the D11 as far as channel switching, guides, ect... Thanks in adavance.

Open the access card door on your receiver and hit the reset button. When the screen says "Heelo,your directv recevier is starting, please wait" (or something to that effect).. hit 02468 on the remote. This should take you to the "Downloading New Software" screen. Keep trying until it downloads...

I had a D10-200 and D10-300 that only showed the name and no number. Once I forced the update on the D10-200, it displayed name and number. I'm pretty sure it is a software glitch with the D10 receivers. If it still isnt working, try forcing the update to 0X1040 and that should fix it.

I got my D11-500 to update this morning also, but it took a couple of tries.. If the force doest work the first time, try again..

Just forced the update on my D11-100 and it went to version 0X1040. The mini-guide will be nice..

I have a D10-200 that received a software update back in March (I think). After the update, anytime you tried to tune to a channel from the guide, the picture would not come on. Just a black screen after the channel banner disappeared. I tried an unsuccesful forced update on it today.. I...

I've had several other D10s and D11s hooked up to the same TV with S-Video and the picture quality is 100% better than the D11-100. Ive had 2 D11-100s hooked up so I know it wasnt just that receiver. Thanks,

I tried all of those and none of them will turn the power off and on but several of them work the volume (on the RC32 remote). I guess I'll just stick with the older first generation remote.. Thanks for the replys..

Anyone noticed how poor the picture quality is on the guide and menus on the D11-100 compared to the other D10 or D11 receivers?? Even with the contrast all the way up on the TV, its still very dim and just not clear compared to any of the other receivers Ive used (D10-200, D10-300, D11-500)...
