Where can I get the nut and bolt for this?

I need help on where I can get the nut and bolt (probably washers also) for the actuator eye hole? I have never seen any and I just don't want to assume it is something standard that I can big up at the hardware store. Please advise. Thank you.

How to know if location will work?

This I don't understand. If I use my latitude, I assume the angle of elevation I use in the formula is 90 - latitude. If it is just my latitude (28.8) to be used in that formula, I basically have to line of site to even my zenith sat (81.0)

How to know if location will work?

Hi all, I am about to put down the pole for my 10' dish, however I need to be certain I will have clearance for my preferred location. I have tried all day with this as a reference: Footprints by Dish Size - Satellite Dish Clearance Height Calculation Formula & Inclinometer Diagram and I am...

    lnb and dish setup

what is the best way to go about setting the limits on the actuator? Can this be done via the actuator alone or does this need a receiver to do it and if so what is the process?

Got a question, from that list above, if the column "Motor Arm Length Required" states 18", does that mean a 24" arm would not work or is 18" minimum?

    DSR-922/DSR-920 Battery Questions

Well, just my luck. About to replace my battery and went to Alan's site for one last look and it seems to be down: http://www.pacificsites.com/~alanjudd/922.htm UPDATE: The site came back up and I soldered the battery holder. Tomorrow I'll attempt to cut out the old battery, although it still...

Sorry, but what does this mean? Are you referring to the battery in module you slide into the slot at the back of the unit?

Most people don't know what FTA satellite TV is

Maybe it was mentioned before, but the acronym FTA is widely associated with pirating satellite signals because the medium used to do so was legal FTA receivers. If you do a search for FTA due to the longevity of those receivers being used for pirating, there are probably thousands of sites that...

    Starz HD will leave 4DTV

Thanks for clearing that up. HD would have certainly been preferable, but at least SD is there and from what I understand, the PQ of SD is better than HD lite from the pizza dish companies...correct?

    Starz HD will leave 4DTV

oh no, I was getting into 4DTV sub for the Starz package. I hate where this is all going. What good is my 922 I just got and didn't even get a chance to change the battery now.

Most people don't know what FTA satellite TV is

Not really FTA sat related, but here in my neck of the woods (most likely elsewhere or nationally), there seems to be some uncertainty with free antenna broadcasting. The NAB are running the ads. Here is an article: NAB Takes To Airwaves - Tech Daily Dose - Tech Daily Dose This may just be the...

    NextWave Navigator NCC500 Receiver

Hey Ice, what I was trying to understand is if I do have a DSR-922 with a motorized dish, would that suffice to move both the dish and the lnbf? For some reason, I keep thinking I am missing a part somewhere to set this all up.

Most people don't know what FTA satellite TV is

This is the original brain washing that makes the masses believe that America's press is not censored. DISH and DirecTV has picked up on this to sell their services to the same mass of people.

    DSR-922/DSR-920 Battery Questions

Well, I assume what your plan is that you will keep it plugged in and then swap out the battery. If that is confirmed to work, then I agree, we don't need a spare holder and we can swap things out carefully while the system is "hot".

    DSR-922/DSR-920 Battery Questions

I am not sure if it holds the ID when the power is plugged in. Even if it does, that would mean if your battery is completely dead, then you have to perform this surgery while plug into a AC outlet which is extremely dangerous. What the spare holder does, is allow you to plug in a new battery...
