    Dish Network Total House DVR?

You know, I don't even care if it came out to the same price I pay now, I'd love this feature. Not too long ago, multiple HD TV's in a house were rare. Now, a lot of families like mine have multiple big screen HDs (I have three--42, 46, and 65 and 102" drop down screen in front of the big TV...

OFFICAL: I am STAYING with DISH Network thread

11th year with Dish now. I'm behind Charley all the way on this one, Fox's demands are outrageous. If all the content providers went up the same, we'd be looking at $300/month TV bills. Stare 'em down Dish!

Help, why am I paying more for less than my neighbor?

Oh, and yes, my neighbor shared his actual bill with me. He has two 622's and a solo DVR like I do. But I don't know how long he's been with Dish, so I'll have to ask.

Help, why am I paying more for less than my neighbor?

Thanks guys. Something interesting, I called CS and spoke with CSR. I asked them to "What If" me on pricing for AEP and same receivers that I have now. Got a price and it's about $10 more as stated in a reply above. Then I called back later with another what if (upgrading the solo receiver to...

Help, why am I paying more for less than my neighbor?

Hey everyone, I've been a Dish customer for more than 8 years without interruption. For some reason, my neighbor has the same number and type of receivers as I do, but more programming and he pays less than I do! He's got AEP and I don't. OK, I have two 622's and one 510D receivers. And...

How to ?: get vip622 output BOTH HDMI & Component?

Just to close out the thread, it was indeed my pre/pro--it had a dead component input. But, since it's out of warranty, and I have only two input devices and three inputs on the pre/pro, I just moved the connection to the other input. We can watch Dish on the big screen!!!

How to ?: get vip622 output BOTH HDMI & Component?

What a simple and great diagnostic idea! Thanks guys. I turned on my flat panel (meaning the HDMI output was in use) and then switched wires around so that the projector was plugged directly into the 622 (Doh! I should have thought of that!) and viola! I was watching the projector image right...

How to ?: get vip622 output BOTH HDMI & Component?

Help! I have a vip622 in my family room. Here's my problem, I have a 55" flat panel that we use for daytime viewing. At night, we have a 100" drop down screen that motors down in front of the flat panel TV and a DLP projector. My flat panel has an HDMI input and the picture looks a lot better...

What are the odds that SPEED HD will be added in time for the '09 Formula 1 season

Actually, this 'transition' year should be interesting--some cars with KERS some without, huge new front wings and non-grooved slick tires combined with much less turbulent rear wings means the front end should stick well and help with over taking. Whenever you have this many major rule...

Patience & perseverance paid off with a great upgrade finally

Thank you, duly noted and edited. I was in a hurry because my kids wanted me downstairs to play a game, plus I'm dyslexic, seriously. My neighbor has a 622 and I've seen it action and am looking forward to recording hi-def--finally! I guess one point is that I think the first 'rush' is...

Patience & perseverance paid off with a great upgrade finally

I have posted about my complaint about the Dishin' it up promo. I'm one of the rare households with three HD TVs and have three HD receivers--an owned 6000 and two leased 811's. After a couple of horrendously bad experiences with CSR's (one was out right rude and I mean RUDE to me), I was...

Four HD TVs - Only One 622 Available?

I have the same problem, only with 3 HD TV's, two upstairs and one down. I've paid a lot of money for E* equipment over the years, and have been with them for 7 years. I have no interest in buying the receivers. TW cable will set me up with 3 HD PVR boxes for the cost of 1.5 E* leases. Why...

DishHD and Dish'n It Up Details

This promo really torques me off. I have been with E* for SEVEN years, I have five receivers (3 of them HD, one 6000 and two 811), and have a HUGE investment in E*. I have paid to upgrade first to Dish500 then again to Dish1000. I have AEP, locals, and the HD pack. In the last two years, I...

can you hook both HDMI & Component ports on TV1 on 622?

Thank you much, if it's working on the 211, then that's a very good indicator that it will probably work on the 622.

can you hook both HDMI & Component ports on TV1 on 622?

My main home theater has a 60" rptv in a niche with a drop down screen in front of it. The rptv has HDMI input, the projector for the screen is component. I don't use both at the same time, since the screen comes down in front of the rptv (only use the projector at night), only one OR the...

upgrade options if you have multiple 811/6000 units?

I should mention that I'm in the Los Angeles area, but can't get OTA signal, and I talked to Dish CSR today and they're the ones that told me I can only get the $299/$99 upgrade pricing on one unit...

upgrade options if you have multiple 811/6000 units?

I'm a noob for posting, but have lurked long and hard. I have been with Dish for 5 years, paid $700 to upgrade to Dish500 and 2 leased 811's seven months ago, then paid to upgrade to Dish1000 in December for the Voom content access. I have five receivers and the AEP, and have had this for...

Don't like Dish's Answers to Locals in HD - Here's an answer

Out here in the West, distance is not important, line of sight is due to all the mountains. We get nada, zip, nothing at 43 miles due north of downtown Los Angeles. Tried amplified outdoor antenna, no signal at all. Oh well...
