Question... Now that you have had your Hopper

Honestly, the Hopper w/sling is a major upgrade over the original hopper. It downloads faster, though the difference in remote sync bothers me. Dish needs to keep it on an even keel to help the installation techs who are dealing with many challenges...just my 2 cents...

Need wiring help adding 211 to 722k wiring

That splitter is actually a diplexor. They're used as a one coax solution for a reciever that uses 2 coax lines. You'll have to have a line ran from dish to your 211 box....won't work off the diplexor unless you disconnect the dual tuner from it.

7 1/2 hour install and still nothing

If installer would have gone over equipment thoroughly before doing install, then a good part of the headache could have been eliminated.

    322 Switch Issue?

322 recievers are the most reliable reciever dish has. Also on your dish the lnb is probably the most reliable. I would assume your problem is in the cable somewhere...bad splices, connectors, mouse or dog damaged cable, rg59 or something else restricting proper voltage to the lnb.:up

    322 Switch Issue?

Ya but if u look at his signature, he has a 1000.2 so Dpp triple not twin.

What was or is the most stable receiver?

I'm suprised nobody mentioned the 322. I'ts the most stable receiver in my opinion and the one I get the fewest service calls on.

Okay to not ground coax feed from dish?

I don't know if it's common practice but the retailer installers in my area don't have to ground. Since I am a tech with a Company who gets our jobs from dish instead of a mom and pop retail outfit, we have to ground everything that can be grounded.

Verifying "Can't see Satellite" from installer

First off I don't just start cutting on my customers trees without there permission. Second, unlike most techs, I look for every reason in the world to do an install and not a way to weasil out like most techs do.

Verifying "Can't see Satellite" from installer

The way it works at the company I work for is that if we call a no line of sight an FSM will come back to verify. If FSM discovers there's a line of sight after all then tech must complete job without pay! I suspect the tech that came out at 7:15P was ready to go home. I carry a chainsaw to...

    Dish-522 Problem w/ DVR ?

If a 522 overheats it will go in to a standby mode and show you a screen with current temp. of reciever and how cool it has to get before it will show programs again. So that's likely not the problem. I have seen lnb failure cause what some of these guys are experiencing.

    yee-hawww!!

Curious, your company doesn't require a pic of what you grounded to? I work for ADS and they are strict about the pics we have to take. Wow, u sure have to put a lot of skew on those dishes in OH. Thought, at first glance the dish was damaged.

    Dish No Showed..Now What?

Make sure there's the correct size cable (RG6) from your lnb to your 510. Replace any splice in the line with the proper barrels that pass 3 ghz. Check and or replace and connectors in the system. After all of that unplug reciever and plug back in and run a check switch and see what happens. If...

    Bad Bunch of DPP Twins?

I've been installing for over a year and just recently I've run into a lot of dpp twins that show's an odd matrix on both Sat. inputs...119(w/ Green "OK" below and "N.C." just below that)and doesn't show any 110...only occurs on 625 recievers. If I swap out with a 322 it shows the normal matrix...

wierd 3 sat problem with sw21 switches

Ok, If using Legacy set up to a dual tuner you need to have 2 sw 21 switches. You need to use either a legacy twin or a legacy quad and bring 2 lines from 119/110 dish in to the 2 switches...one line for each switch. For your 61.5 you need to bring 2 lines from a legacy dual all the way back to...

Help - Install next week what should I confirm

The 622 reciever is the only part of the install you should recieve through the mail. I would call dish to see if a Dish 1000 is on the workorder, though the workorder could be modified if the tech shows up and doesn't have one on his workorder.

    622 install, I need help!!

No excuses...tech should have performed the upgrade and got a ground waiver signed. Systems don't have to be reinstalled for upgrades. If you did'nt want tech to mount to roof then a wall or pole mount should have been sought within the line of sight of the 61.5.
