I am not sure off the top of my head if we use 118.7 here or not. I do already have a 1000+ and a 622, and had to goto the 1000+ for my locals, so I am guessing we are on the 118.7 sat.

I have a question on setting up a new 622 and a new 1000 Plus dish. If I only planned on having the one 622, do you need the DPP44 switch as well? Or would you only need to add that on if you started adding more receivers?

Yes, but at some point everything will be in HD... its just like everything else out there. There will come a time that it will cost more to broadcast in SD, or to even record in SD, so things will transition to HD all over. I could see even the "SD" only channels being broadcast on an "HD"...
