I too love my dish. I had comcast for 20 years and had digital cable for the 6 month deal. I could never get all the channels I was supposed to get. Dish hooked up and I have not one problem and I am using same cabling as cable company, rg 59 to boot. I think the install has allot to do with PQ.

You say the cable goes from lnb to junction??? You will need to use a dpp 44 switch to continue to use seperators if you are. If no seperators then you can use a dp 34 switch where cable comes into the house and run single wire to single receivers and 2 wires to dual receivers. Hope that helps

my installer hooked up all six of my tvs. Just have things ready and make it easy for him. I also was there to help. Youll learn allot also.

I wouldnt buy anything. If you told the csr what you needed the installer should have all required equipment. When I ordered I discussed different options, prices and the installer came out with all reqired diplexors, switches ect, that was required to set up what I ordered.

There is NO WAY you have 8 TVs connected all with digital cable for lees than you could with dish.

If you have wiring in place from direct I would bet the installer would hook up the wires for you for free. He will at least be willing to explain how to you. Be helpful when he comes and do things to hep cut his time. I had this done at my install no problem. Good luck.
