    Another question...If I hold the channel up while I power up the Coolsat, it goes into a diagnostic menu. Is anyone familiar with this? Can I use it to help troubleshoot my problem?

    I don't have another receiver to test with. When I try to move the dish from the coolsat menu, the LED on the motor remains green. I noticed that the LED blinks red 6 times whenever I apply power to the motor. I'm starting to think the issue is with the receiver, but still not sure.

    I tried a temp cable ;aid across the grass, but it didnt fix the problem. To confirm, yes I tried Menu => Installation => Motorized settings Setting DiSEqC motor to "1.2" The pushing left or right while on "Move" but it still doesn't move.

    Same here. It works fine if I connect the antenna directly to my TV and use the built in tuner. I noticed that 13.1 is HD & 13.2 is SD. This is new. I guess the Dish box is having trouble receiving. We probably need a software update to fix this issue.

    Here is an example...When I do a blind scan, the University Network scans as Service 1 If I rename Service 1 to University Network it will stay University Network until I blind scan. After the blind scan, it goes back to Service 1.

    I have a coolsat 5000. I had a similar problem as you, and wiped my box clean. I'm having some problems with AMC6 & SBS6 being so close and I get dup channels on both. Would be nice to look at what others have captured in a file.

    The 2nd circle shows a round icon with ((o)) the 4th circle was displaying a couple of horizontal lines = on some of the channels.

    Does anyone know the meaning of the various icons that appear on the Coolsat 5000 info screen? It appears that the $ shows when there's a scramble channel, but cannot find any documentation as to what these icons represent.
