I'm in California, too, and ONN was up roughly about a half hour or so ago before I started this thread. Could the transition to Horizons 2 just have taken place with us folks on the West Coast losing ONN?

Now I have some signal quality (around 25% or so), but no video. Other feeds are strong. Weird.

It's 6:36pm PT and I'm on G17/H2 @ 11733/H/6616. Zero signal quality. Have locked in other feeds on this bird right now.

Signal's completely gone. Tried a rescan to no avail. Anyone else experiencing the same?

I used to be able to get it on my Mercury II until I downloaded new(er) software.

The length of time it takes to blind scan (power scan is what it's actually called on the Mercury II) depends on whether you select a quick, normal or detailed scan as well as the frequency step you choose (which I believe, going from memory, are 4 or 6). In any case, a quick scan should take...

Why would people on the West Coast lose ONN? Doesn't CONUS mean that it'll cover the entire U.S.?

Never seen the mux before with zero siqnal quality. Usually, if nothing's on, it'll have a black screen with good signal quality.

Anyone know what happened to this mux on AMC6? It seems to have disappeared.

Lyngsat doesn't show anything active on AMC 16.

I concur with Iafirebuff. The most difficult part of getting your FTA system is making sure that the mount/pole is perfectly plum and that you have a clear view of your true south satellite.

Just scanned AMC2 and it's still not there. There are other feeds currently active, but the Echostar digital test channel isn't one of them.

For approximately a year, I have been using a Stab-HH90 motor to frequently travel the arc from 72W to 123W. Although, knock on wood, I haven't experienced any issues with this motor, I have been wondering what the motor's useful life might be?

Yes, I agree with you, Grusome. It would be really nice to have an all-in-one set-up, if you will, where you can scan and pick up everything without having to switch over to another receiver (i.e. Quali-TV) to plug in the frequency/symbol rate of an HD or 422 feed.

Yep. Noticed that, too. Deleted the transponder from the Merc II.

I have a DVB World USB FTA Receiver for my laptop and a Quali-TV QS1080IR slaved to my Fortec Mercury II 420 Receiver. Haven't used the DVB World USB FTA Receiver since I purchased my Quali-TV about six months ago. The Quali-TV is great for 4:2:2 feeds and HD feeds as well.
