I just got a new 622 2 1/2 weeks ago. The HDMI video output has failed. Called tech support and they tell me it's just a software bug and to use component.:mad: They tell me they do not know when the fix will be available:mad: I was just fine with my 942

Thanks that is what I was thinking. I guess there is a mapping between the Dish local and OTA channels

I just had 622 installed. Since then I no longer get guide information for OTA. The channels are listed but no guide info. I did change my programming and removed Dish Local. Is this causing the OTA not to show guide info?

It has also been happening to me since April. I did seem to clear up but has gotten worse again. I sent a email to NBC several weeks ago but of course no response. By the way I don't have the issue with my 811:rolleyes:

I am in the DFW area a suburb of Dallas. Watching the NASCAR race on the local OTA (NBC) and my 942 will just reboot. It has happen about 6 times now. I can switch to Dish local and it's fine. This is not the first time this has happen. Seems everytime I watch NASCAR in HD through OTA on NBC...

That might be a option. I do have a TV tuner card could that also be a option? Also is there not a eathernet connection on the 942? If so what is is it used for. I will play with it tonight. If I get time. The MAVS are playing :D

Is there a way to get some of my DVR recordings off my 942 to my computer.

Both the 811 and 942 OTA are about the same for me. I only live about 25 miles from the towers though.

Have not got it here yet. Can you change a setting that will prompt you before downloading new software update? I know I can with the 811.

What's sad is mine is only 2 weeks old :(

I have also been getting a lot of pizelization(artifacts). Seems to happen more going from HD to SD!

Thanks to everyone's help. Got her all hooked up and everything seems to be working fine. :D I did have to run another RG6 down the wall since my switch is a DP34 Pro. To run a dual tuner off of one RG6 cable my switch needed to be at least a DP34 Pro "PLUS". TV2 output is pretty good...

I had thought about that also. I checked the switch and it is showing DP34. I also have Dual LNB running to the switch with wing dish pointing to 61.5
