In the NEC, it requires the antenna to be grounded , could not find an exception to the antenna being installed indoors, If it were mine I would bond it to the dish if its close enough.... i'm sure someone will tell you to call your local inspector to see what your town requires....

As posted above I use the r15 in the bedroom and only record in High Def, I did replace my tivo dvr40 with the r15, but only to check out Yes Network Interactive features, I would strongly recommend looking for Tivo unit only.... but just my two cents.... and if you never used Tivo, even better...

The R15 is InterActive.. pretty neat features actually... I upgraded my tivo unit for the R15 just to check out the YES network... it supports it also....

Ota I live in Litchfield, CT and I use a OTA and with good luck too, I receive all my locals in HD and only have to rotate it for ABC. I am very happy with the results... since D* only offers two HD networks at the moment...

You only need a phone line to activate the DVR after that its all set.... The phone line is only needed for Pay for View channels...

Your DVD player needs to be hooked up to another INPUT, on the TV itself or your stereo receiver, as you can only view one input at a time.... then select the correct input either on the TV or stereo receiver however you hooked the dvd player up...

If you read carfully the directions explain that it comes with "One of each of the following" and they show Three different high def cables, Not sure what determines what cable your going to get? Region?
