    H-10 receiver and activating them

I plan on activating my H10 receiver tomorrow. Is this a common problem with all H10 receivers. By the way are users of the H10 reasonably pleased with the functionality and over performance and PQ of the H10 receivers? Bill G

Will E* Add Fox HD Distant Nets?

Before the Super Bowl or at least by the beginning of NASCAR. If there is no chance of that I would serious consider moving to D* by Jan 31. Thanks for input. Bill G

    Is it OK to LIE?

Where I live I can not receive any local channels OTA, analog or digital that is watchable. Both E* and D* will not allow me NBC or FOX. I have a small cottage about 35 miles away and that address qualifies for all distant nets. I am thinking about telling a satellite provider that is where I...

Time To Switch To D* (I Guess)

What I am trying to tell you is that HDMI is no reason to switch. Programming, Customer Service, etc is, and you should make an informed decision before switching. And I must say wait for MPEG 4 if you can. I have considered DVI output using an adapter to HDMI however, at least with Tosh DLP...

Time To Switch To D* (I Guess)

Thanks for input everyone. There are ofcourse several things to consider. Mainly I have made a substantial commitment to HDTV and I am not sure Dish is. I just bought a new HDTV with HDMI inputs and Directv just released an STB with HDMI outputs and Directv appears to be making a big commitment...

Time To Switch To D* (I Guess)

I am looking for a reason to stay with E* and I don't think TNT-HD will hold me. I need Distant Nets in HD and a short and long term commitment by my Satellite provider to HD. D* just released an HD receiver with an HDMI output and I have a Tosh 62HMX94. I have not seen any news out of CES that...

    HD Poll (initial research)

I would love the networks as well. After the President signed the SHERVA bill I thought they would have been available within a week. If Starz was in HD I would sign up for the package, Universal, Encore and TMC yes. I don't care about Cinamax. Bill G

    hdmi to dvi vs. component

Question probably not for this forum, but what to heck, I can't get shot. I am seriously thinking of buying a Toshiba 62" DLP TV (62hmx94) I currently have a Toshiba TW65h80 with a DISH 6000. I am wondering if there is that big a difference in a DLP projection TV vs a CRT projection TV? I would...

    HD Distants

I now get analog CBS, ABC, and NBC because I am in a grade b reception and I get Fox on a waiver. Assuming E* does the right thing and adds the distant digitals in early December will I have to keep and pay for the analog versions of the networks? Whatch ya think? Bill G

Congress likely to pass HD distant locals today!

Based on what is known, when will Dish Network Or Directv for that matter be able to offer Distant HD Networks. In my case I get ABC, CBS and NBC because I am in a grade b reception area (if thats the correct terminology)and I get Fox on waivers. So when can we expect to see HD nets on...
