HR23-700 dropping audio every once in awhile.

I just got hooked back up to DirecTV. The local PBS and CW channels have pixelation in them. The tech coming back out to tweak the dish. Hopefully that will take care of that. But I'm not sure. The highest spot beam is 85 and the lowest 32. Except for those that are 0. I'm not sure which spot...

VIP622 installed, don't want to share it:)

Just got a VIP622 install and I'm sharing it with another TV. And I don't like only having one tuner. I've been use to recording a program and watching another one live. Having the VIP622 TV-2 setup all I can do is record a program and watch a pre-recorded program. So to fix that I'm getting...

Got call from D* to come back. Will have 150 HD by March!?

I just got a call from D* wanting me to come back. He asked the reason why I left. And I told him the PQ of the HD channels. He told me they have a new HD STB that takes care of the PQ. Also, they have 20 HD channels now which was more than anyone else. I was to tired to argue with him about...

NetFlix/TIVO could save us from the HD DVD format war. If they would.

I was thinking about this earlier today and fired off a suggestion email to Netflix. I really hadn't paid that much attention into the announcement between Netflix and Tivo since I am a DirecTv sub. I assume it has something to do with Netflix downloading rentals to stand-alone TIVOs...
