    LPBS Unstable?

Same problem here on the west coast. Signal Q during the day = 55-60% After 8pm (PST) = 20-35% - which pixellates and is often unwatchable.

    125 West

Further search of Ebay turned up another seller of Sonic Voom. Listed as "SONIC VOOM SURROUND HEADPHONES - REDUCED PRICE" for $9.99 + $9.92 shipping. Sounds like a better deal - but you never know with Ebay (lol).

I got my Sonic Voom off Ebay couple of years back.It was about $21 incl shipping I just checked Ebay and only see 1 for sale and it's $39.99 - bit overpriced ? I also tried a Creative Extigy external sound module - it worked but had occasional sound drop outs The extigy is no longer in...

Contest: Enter to Win a Mini BUD from Satellite AV

Cycling to the beach (12 miles) with my friends. We would play in the dunes - some kind of war game - and one day we found a secret tunnel in the hillside - but it was too dark to go very far inside - and we were scared - smelled bad in there too. We would bring bacon/sausage/eggs and cook up a...

GIVEAWAY - DMX241 C Band LNBF Giveaway from WS International

Been interested in ham radio and scanning the 'airwaves' since 1962. However the radio hobby faded as my interest in computers increased during the 80's. Then I installed a satellite dish to watch the 1998 world cup.... As soon as I saw the signal meter levels hopping (as I aligned the dish) -...

    DTV36EDS Directv Worlddirect for FTA

I have the exact same dish - and would agree that it is a little small for good signal on some of the linear sats. However maybe good news on the Eagle Aspen LNB - On the linear (oval feedhorn) LNB that came with the dish, the label says - And it works just fine with both H & V polarity via...

Review of the Extigy external sound card for AC-3 decoding

Hi - just tried out my extigy connected to Pansat 2700A - haven't used it in a while - but still works. So you refer to the extigy as a 'card' - does this mean you purchased the PCI card version of the extigy that has to be plugged in to a computer ? What you need is the external extigy box...

    neusat ac3 audio

I don't have exerience of the Neusat, however I had a similar problem with a viewsat.Viewsat got picture no audio whereas Pansat got pic & audio OK, on the same feed. The problem was due to the viewsat not correctly scanning the audio PID.I was able to correct this by uploading the channel list -...

    Trying to add Ku

Just a thought.... Is there any chance the Ku is 90° off. i.e. horizontal is vertical and vice versa ? you can try changing it in the receiver setup = rotated 90° not sure if that option works with a corotor - I know it works with LNBF when using voltage switched polarity.

    Trying to add Ku

To reflect Ku band signals off a BUD you need the very small hole mesh or solid surface. What type of dish surface do you have ? An option would be a separate Ku dish - 30" would probably be sufficient.

    X-4 Ku Package on 4DTV

I had a look at G1 while the C-Band LNB was mounted, but wasn't able to get a DC lock. Got some fuzzy analog pictures on G1-11 and G1-12 I did install my VCRS module and got a VC lock on G5-5 So G5 is definately my strongest sat (I'm at 122°W). But like you said - I was just lookin for maps.

    X-4 Ku Package on 4DTV

Hi, Based on the surface area of the 40x30 I equate it to a 90cm. I didn't take any pictures - and I now have the Ku LNB installed. But here is a picture I found (think it was on this site) that gave me some inspiration of how to mount the BSC421. I drilled a hole in the angle plate at the end...

    X-4 Ku Package on 4DTV

tdti1 - thankyou for the info you posted - From this I did some experimenting - I recently upgraded my Ku dish to a primestar 40x30. Using it for the X4 Ku package. I don't have a BUD. Since the p* is already on a motor, I tried swapping the Ku LNB for a BSC421 C-Band LNB. I was able to grab...

    International 36" Satellite Dish (36 x 18)

I used one for a couple of months. It was workable - but only just, for G10. the 2 'awkward' TPs - 11720 V & 11800 V would fade to pixellation threshold (around 30% Q) at times. Worked fine for T5 (G25). I since replaced it with a primestar 40x30 and those G10 TPs are 50%+ What's interesting...

    X-4 Ku Package on 4DTV

Yes, you need a Ku lnb for X4. primestar dish will work fine - that's what I have. Most of the original primestar LNBFs have 2 separate outs - 1 for H, 1 for V polarity. You could use 2 cables to the 920. Or you can replace the LNB with one that has polarity switching by 13V/18V. I found an...

    X-4 Ku Package on 4DTV

Where there's a will.... Hi, My first post here. Thought I'd share this - I picked up a dsr920 for $6 (well $5 for the dsr + $1 for the remote). Don't have a BUD - Now what ? Found the X4 Ku pack offering - tuned in to X4 with 36" x 29" primestar. Getting 80+ Q. Good so far. Called...
