Unplug your unit from the wall for 1/2 hour. Plug it back in and see if that doesn't resolve the issue. BTW, Dish recommends that their receivers NOT be plugged into a surge suppressor but rather be plugged into a wall socket...

Are you sure your TV is capable of resolving 1080p 24fps?

Instead of Fast Forwarding you can use the skip button at least until another solution is available. I'm surprised no one else mentioned that.

You might also look for a firmware update for your TV. That could do the trick...

I have the Absolute HD package. No new channels. In order to get the new Viacom channels I would have to change my package to one $50 per month more expensive. What a rip.

Vizio makes very nice TV's.
