    Time Shift

I recently purchased a My Book Essential 1TB hard drive and it works great for timed recordings but I still have the same trouble with timeshifting. Sometimes it works and sometimes it don't. Is there any settings that I might need to change to fix this? Thanks

    Clock/Day issue with OS Mio

For the last couple of days the time/date keeps changing around on my OS Mio, right now it shows the year as 1970. Needless to say this causes problems with timed recordings. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Thanks.

    Hard drive for OS Mio

Thanks for the tip. I'm also looking at a Buffalo 2 TB external drive, it's about the same price. Maybe I'll go with that one.

    Hard drive for OS Mio

Thanks for all the replies. I'm looking at a WD Elements 3 TB for $79 on Amazon. It has a push button on/off switch rather than the toggle but we don't loose power very often. Seems to be a pretty good deal.

    Hard drive for OS Mio

I'm planning on purchasing a hard drive for my OS Mio 4k in the near future and need some suggestions. Which ones work best with the OS Mio? I've never purchased one before so I don't know a whole lot about them. Thanks in advance.

    Help with Cobaltfhd

Thank you for your reply. I tried installing it on TNAP 3.2. I went to the plugins menu and selected the skin there and a black box came up that basically said "no packages installed or removed". I do have a full backup, I know the importance of that. Maybe I will load OpenPli and try that...

    Help with Cobaltfhd

I'd like to try the Cobaltfhd skin on my OS Mio 4K but for some reason it won't install. I've deleted all skins except for the Pli skin and a skin named Emergency which I can't find a way to uninstall. I must be doing something wrong, does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

    Help Identifying These Antennas

Thank you for pointing out that thread. It sounds like this could be the problem I'm having. I think I'll order one of your filtering LNBF's and see if it helps.

    Help Identifying These Antennas

I have 2 commercial radio towers about a mile across from me. You can see them from the pic I added below which I took from my yard. I believe the wireless antenna in the first picture is pointing towards those towers, so there's probable a transmitter on one of those towers.

    Help Identifying These Antennas

I thought about wireless internet. We have at least one wireless internet provider that I know of. Now, can this cause interference issues with C band? The last few months I've been experiencing choppy/jerky video on many of the channels I watch and I can't seem to find any problems with my...

    Help Identifying These Antennas

I have neighbors on either side of me that are using these little parabolic shaped antennas. I would say they were about a foot and a half across, and they have one small probe sticking out of the center. One is pointing East and the other West. Could they be some kind of microwave antenna...

    Locked up OS MIO 4K

I made a backup of slot 2 and rebooted to slot 1 and then I brought up the backup plugin and clicked the blue button to restore. I then navigated down to "fullbackup_osmio4k" and clicked the green button. After that this screen came up: Is this correct? If so, what button do I push next?

    Locked up OS MIO 4K

I reinstalled TNAP 3.2 in slot 1, the process went very smoothly. I have one more question, is there a way to backup the settings and channel bouquets from the version of TNAP 3.2 I have installed in slot 2 and restore them to the fresh version of 3.2 I have just installed in slot 1? Thanks

    Locked up OS MIO 4K

I think that's what I'll do. I can install another image in slot 2 later. The reason I downloaded the clock extension was so I could have something showing on the front panel display. In TNAP 3.0 when I made my "Favorites" bouquet the satellite names were lined up against the left side of the...

    Locked up OS MIO 4K

Ok. I was able to bring up the boot menu and boot to slot 2 which is TNAP 3.2. One of the times I tried before I got a black screen and I didn't realize that the boot menu might be in 50htz which my tv won't do. The last time I tried and got the black screen it hit me. I should have a...

    Locked up OS MIO 4K

I downloaded an extension on my MIO 4k to display a permanent clock on the front panel. I believe it was called permanentvfdclock. After the install a green message box came up telling me that there is a software problem and it's going to restart in 10 seconds. Well, it doesn't restart. I...

Help With OS Mio 4K Flash

Sure. I pushed the green button and the next screen that came up gave me a choice of which slot I wanted to flash the image to. I chose slot 2, which at the time was empty and then as I remember it flashed the image. It was very easy. I'm planning on installing OpenVix a little later, I hope...
