I have received email confirmations of the 2nd HDDVR being added for no cost. I think it went through. They are sending it drop ship for a self install.

I called back again and the customer service rep hooked me up with another HDDVR to exchange for one of my standard boxes for no cost! I should be set now. Outstanding result. I will now have 2 HDDVR's, an HD box, and a standard box all at no upfront costs at all. I am extremely satisfied.

I am thinking of going the retention route. I have 24 hours to cancel and I dont think they will let me since they have done the install. We will see though

I think I made a big mistake not getting 2 DVR's. I didn't want to pay the $99 extra for the extra HR-24 and now realize I made a huge mistake. I called withing 2 hours of installation and they want $199 now. I have 24 hours to cancel if I want I guess and redo it all on another order, but...

Got it to finally work. I guess I had a wire crossed. I am getting it to work interference free in the Indy area on ch. 28 for TV2

It will get the channels upon scanning if I hook the anteanna up directly. I think I may have the TV2 set to cable channel 73. Would that knock out the OTA signal?

Using this set up, what could cause everything to work but the OTA signal to not make it through. Where I normally get 28 channels upon scanning, I am getting 0 with no signal strength at all. I have followed the instructions to a T. It works on my down stairs 722, but when I do the same set...

If you have more than 1 DVR you have to pay the fee for the 2nd DVR. That would be my guess if that is how you are set up.

I was having trouble with 119 and 110 last night in Indiana and I also thought that some of the HD channels looked a little better after the trouble stopped. I thought it was just me though.

Actually, it would be let the guy that cares about his work and is willing to do what he is contracted to do do the job. Dont ask the guy that is only willing to do it if he can throw a substandard job together and move on to the next victim.

I think you hit the nail on the head. This guy is just looking to make as quick and easy a buck as he can without regard to the quality of his work or the service he gives the customer regardless of what he is being paid to do.

And then you complain about someone thinking badly of an installer with an attitude like that. From reading the PDF, it appears that a professional standard install would include wall fishing for all interior room receivers if required for any new install that requires it.
