    Live from Team Summit

I'm sorry but D*'s unit has some major useability issues. Like when you want to view recordings on a remote TV it takes control of the main TV and then you can't watch a different show on that TV.

3 sat set up with legacy lnbs

A better option is 119/110/129/61.5 using a 1000.2 dish and a 61.5 wing. It would be cheaper and you would not have to run any extra cables. If you already have all MPEG4 HD equipment the best option is 77/72.7/61.5 with 1000.4 dish. EDIT: External switches/connections are to be avoided if at...

    Odd 622 behavior

No it is not a hard drive problem, It is a miscellaneous software glitch. I have seen similar problems on my 625 and 722k. Some versions of the software cause some receivers to act up (despite what Dish says not all receivers are created equal). A good example of this is when I first started if...

By land of lAND OF cHEESEHEADS do you mean Wisconsin? If so and you live anywhere near Portage WI (the reason I say Portage is that more people know where it is than where Pardeeville is) I would be more than willing help to set you up. If you wish to ask any questions feel free to call me at...

Just did a self install cannot get picture. signal strength is good.

Clear the check switch matrix. if it still says 119 or 110 it will not lock on to eastern arc satellites. To clear the matrix disconnect the sat feed from the receiver and run check switch, let it count to 38, then restart the receiver it should then lock on to eastern arc satellites.

FTA stands for Free To Air. It is satellite service that is not encrypted.

    Can I Mesh Dish Dish?

You can use the dish for WiFi but you will need a biquad antenna. You can buy one or you can make one. For instructions on how to build your own you might try this sight: Biquad Antenna Construction or this one: How-To: Build a WiFi biquad dish antenna -- Engadget

    625 hard drive failure

Dish frowns on that but yes. You will have to make two phone calls one to add on the DHPP and one to get the receiver replaced they can be placed on the same day. Just note that you will have to keep it on your account for at least three months be for can cancel it or will be charged a $30 penalty.

    625 hard drive failure

Yes the DHPP (Dish Home Protection Plan) does cover leased receivers. What dish will probably do is ship you a receiver. Which you will be expected to hook up your self, then call to have the new receiver activated. After the new receiver is activated you are to pack the old receiver in the box...

    EHD Compatibility - 622 to 722K

Yes that is correct. That is why you should visit your local retailer and put them on the spot to get the one you want. To find a retailer go to: DISH Network - Find Your Local Retailer - 1.800.823.4929

    EHD Compatibility - 622 to 722K

What is going on that is messing all the CSRs and everyone up is that dish has changed the dish'in it up rules three times since the first of the year. First there was a charge, then they lowered it, then there was no charge, then there was a charge but only for some receivers, now for plan A...

    Separator 123254 to Multiswitch

No, your forked. You still still need one cable for each orbit location and proplus twins (the only two orbit proplus LNB) will not accept an external switch.

How to buy a mesh in New York? Please help!

my suggestion is to drive around the rural part of your state find some one who still has one knock on their door and ask if you can have it. Odds are they are not using it and will let you have it for free if you hall it away.

Eastern Arc Dish and 6 Receivers - Tech on site!

Ignore the doom and gloom. It works just fine as long as you have the switch hooked up in the right order (port one on the LNB to port one on the switch, 2 to 2, ect.).

    Greetings..

Elory he said 500 plus dish not 500 dish. A 500 plus dish is for international programing

    adding a 5th receiver

What are you talking about??? Legacy receivers can read ProPlus switches (like the DPP33 switch) without DP adapters. Also you are just asking for unnecessary trouble if you use an integrated switch/LNB if you don't have to, your better off using 3 DP duals.

Can SW31 be used to connect 2 receivers to 1 output?

Technically my way will work, but I'd go for the 44 switch. If you think that you may ever have a service tech out to your house doing it my way is just asking for trouble.

Can SW31 be used to connect 2 receivers to 1 output?

Do you know what a diplexer is? A triplexer is a diplxer and a separator built in one case.

Can SW31 be used to connect 2 receivers to 1 output?

That would probably work. But here is a little simpler way. I would also like to apologize if I wasn't clear enough.
