I think both hoppers have to be running the Carbon UI/OS for the restore recordings feature to work.

I like the fact that it doesn't shut off the Hopper/Joey that way if I have the show delayed I can turn off the TV and go to another room and join the stream and not lose my place. Before I would have to leave the room and join the stream then go back and turn off the other TV.

You would need to use something like this to convert the HDMI to component video. Maybe a HDMI spliter as well.

Can you see if the new UI integrates the extnernal HDD recordings into the "DVR" or search list. Does the new UI allow you to mark it for archive when recording it? With USB 3.0 EHDD a seamless integration should be possible.

Scott, will you be able to get video of the the UI? Specifically looking to see if they have added any ability to set up any kind of user folders to help organize recordings, mainly so I can put the kids recordings in its own spot.

I'm sure you are correct. They have an interest in Griffins success so they can raise their rates as well.

I never saw the e-mails I guess. But that would explain why KOTV is not bashing Dish in their follow up posts on facebook. Maybe Griffin figured they could extort more out of Dish since they just had a bitter fight with Fox.

Now that the AFC championship is over I wonder how long this will last. KOTV is posting responses to some of the messages on their facebook page. Says they are still negotiating. But who knows.

Back to the dispute. I was just at Foxnews.com and one of the ads was for Dishnetwork, TV and Internet for 35/month. I thought that was funny. I figured that Fox would keep those ads from coming up some how.

I used the No that was listed, but my answer would have been No - Don't watch those channels.

Hopefully they will add an "Auto Save" to the PTA feature that way I don't have to have "Timers" for the shows that I am behind on.
