I remembered about nine years back when Dish started to carry my locals, as I was in the process of cancelling basic cable service for locals, that the cable company advised me after closing my account that I would not have any local channels; I advise them that Dish is now carrying my locals...

How much is it really going to cost us? Lets see now, the Weather Channel claim earlier that the original cost negotiations with Dish was equivalent to just 1 cent per subscriber more, and could not understand the problem; I wonder how much it is really going to cost us? :rolleyes:

I am guessing that existing customers who were subscribing to the $10/mo. “HD & Platinum”, and are grandfathered into “HD Free for Life”, who then decide to cancel the Platinum portion to enjoy the free HD will be charge a $5 fee for downgrading?

Prior to setting up the upgrade, the CSR will inform you what it will cost you! :)

I agree, I already had paid for 61.5 in the past to get HD; that fact should at least provide a free upgrade to me and perhaps to the " small group of customers" that are affected :confused:

I agree. I also have this, and think that when more people start to realize this Netflix deal, they will be dropping their movie packs.
