    5-07-08 HD Rumors.

I do agree...ESPN News is rather pointless. How many ESPNs are really needed, anyway?

How to record shows from my 622 DVR onto my laptop??

Next step beyond the DVD recorder is to have video editing software that can extract from the disc and into the editor, where it can be converted for mobile devices.

Usa Hd And Scie Fi Hd

A lot of the stuff I've seen on USA is in HD, including Monk. The 4:3 version may have been an older episode, and I know Burn Notice's first season was shot in 4:3 SD, though it's supposed to be HD for season 2. We'll see...

    As to new HD

About three summers ago, the dish went out of alignment in late April...never bothered to have it retuned until just before football started. So, no big deal if not much lights up. It's not like we "need" HDTV...we need food and shelter, so it's something that's nice to have, but not needed.

    HD percentage

Actually saw a 32" tube @ WallyWorld yesterday...was so surprised I had to turn around and look again to be sure I wasn't mistaken.

    Pissed at Dish!!

I didn't like the idea of wiring a rotor, so I just purchased a big antenna to get four of the locals, then added the small UHF from Radio Shack for the other one, which is 180 from the other four, then hooked both into the same cable with a splitter. Needed a gain booster for one of the far...

Charlie Chat Caps and Bytes 12-10-07

Could have something to do with the lawsuit by stations in Minot, ND, about putting the locals on the birds.

    Sci-Fi HD...when can we watch?

According to a television producer from LA that I talked to, about $1.2 million per episode for Enterprise for the last season.

    Fox Business Network

People looking for solid business info will not tolerate "spin" when it comes to their investments. That being said, I would be interested in seeing how the WSJ staff would bring more added value to FBN...I'm not a big fan of CNBC as I see them being a cheerleader and not focusing on the whys of...

Anyone having periodic video stuttering on their 622?

It just started happening last week with my 622. Mostly on the OTAs, but occasionally on the Voom channels.

Dish non responsive to its customer wants

And there comes a point when a channel is not viable simply because not enough people want it and there are a multitude of channels those people do want. Long story short, more people want ESPN-U than Logo. If you want Logo, find a provider that's willing to provide it at a price you're willing...

    Minneapolis area Rain Fade

I consider that a blessing...the Fargo-Moorhead OTA HD feed went out for a couple minutes too. But I've been getting more rain fade up here as well than I've ever noticed before. Seems kind of strange that it worked through some really nasty stuff earlier this year, then started doing the fading.

    So, Does Dish Respond Today?

Which makes me glad I sucked it up at the time and went with the 622.

622 HDMI picture dull compared to component

I gave it a shot as well. I'd been using the upconvert DVD with the HDMI...looks great. Then when I did a bit of testing looking at the component compared to HDMI with my receiver, the HDMI looked substantially worse. I'd have hoped for better in that respect, but the component still pumps out a...

    Programming News (includes HD news!)

To see if anyone knows, and to rid myself of the newbie reminder at the top of the page, will History HD mirror the regular History Channel, or will it operate similar to the two Food Networks?
