You cannot see an EHD from a different Hopper than it is plugged into. So, if you have an EHD on Hopper 1 and an EHD on Hopper 2 you can only see the Hopper 1 EHD on Hopper 1 and the EHD on Hopper 2 on Hopper 2... That kind of sucks ? meaning you cant really share all your media then.

ah...so a hub and then both EHD would be connected via 1 of the 2 hoppers. What is the largest size of EHD that can be connected ?

awesome, thanks guys...guess it takes some time to figure out the menu systems. I was looking for the control via the DVR menu. so the other question: Should I be able to see / access BOTH external drives from a hopper (or only the 1 external drive that is connected to the hopper accessed) ?

i have never seen the episode #s on the EHD. I have only tried a couple of times though.

hi guys thanks T8. I go to client homes for HT installs and calibrations. My clients expect me to be competant and thorough. I need to be familiar with their systems so I have always had both services in my home so I can be familiar with both services.

My clients routinely appreciate my ability to navigate through their systems and to discuss programming options and quality issues. I do not have any of my receivers at other locations than at my home. Please try to read a little more carefully in the future. Gregg
