    2 Hopper setup questions

Thanks for the replies! I think my questions were answered. Can a user from a Joey see what is scheduled to record on either Hopper without changing its link, so we don't duplicate recordings on accident? I should've clarified this question further. Can recordings be deleted using any...

    2 Hopper setup questions

We're currently looking to move away from our single 722 DVR setup. Our family needs have grown and we've recently purchased HDTVs to replace our SDTVs. We're looking into getting a 2 Hopper/3 Joey setup and comparing it to DirecTV's Genie. I know it's not an apples to apples comparison but the...

"Warning 981" message - Two days in a row

Sounds reasonable to me. Fortunately, I have a replacement receiver on the way.

Actually, the "XXXX" are actual numbers and letters.

"Warning 981" message - Two days in a row

It's back again for the third day in a row and it was clear last night. I got home really late last so I didn't have a chance to check the signals but my wife the DVR works fine once it comes back on. I guess something is wrong with the 722 at this point, so I better copy the DVR shows to a EHD...

"Warning 981" message - Two days in a row

Also, when I get home this evening I'll check the signal strengths and see if something is off there.

"Warning 981" message - Two days in a row

Everyone, Thanks for the response! The receiver works fine once it comes back on. I thought it was odd that it happened two nights in a row, so I'm a little concerned now. Now that I think about it, it was very cloudy early this morning (don't think it rained) and it did rain the night before...

"Warning 981" message - Two days in a row

We have a 722 receiver that has given us a "Warning 981" "Boot Recovery" message two mornings in a row. This message is on screen lasts for at least 2-3 hours before finally going back to normal. It may be longer, as we turned on the TV/722 at 8:00 AM on both days and finally came on at around...

Is the old $5.00 phone connection fee really gone (I want to unplug the phone line on my 722k)?

Thanks for the responses! We only have one duo receiver now, we order our PPV items online and we are looking to eliminate our landline. So I just wanted to make sure we wouldn't have any "hidden issues" by pulling the phone plug.

Is the old $5.00 phone connection fee really gone (I want to unplug the phone line on my 722k)?

I want to unplug my 722k from our phone line for several reasons. I wanted to make sure that one of three things wouldn't happen: 1) There isn't an incentive (that I can see) for keeping the phone line connected after removing the $5 discount. So I want to be sure that there isn't a special...

    Thanks folks! I ordered a 21.0 remote.

    722 with 6.0 UHF remote for TV1

I have a 722 DVR that is using 5.0 and 6.0 remotes to control TV1 and TV2. From what I've read these remotes should have been replaced with a 5.3 and 6.3 remote when they swapped my DVR out from a 522 over a year and half ago. I assume the installer was lazy, maybe didn't think about swapping...

    722 & 322 - thinking about dropping the 322 and 14.00 Duo Fee question

Thanks for the replies folks! I'll be dropping the 322 in the near future as the extra dual receiver is not worth the additional $14 for us. Also, I am on the WA and I supposedly have the "HD For Life" thing, hence why I assume it doesn't show up as a fee.

    722 & 322 - thinking about dropping the 322 and 14.00 Duo Fee question

I'm sorry if this has been covered but I searched the forums but really didn't find an answer. I have a 722 & 322 receiver with AT250 programming and DVR service. My current monthly cost breakdown looks like this: $64.99 - America's Top 250 $14.00 - Duo (2TV) Receiver $6.00 - DVR Service...

New software - The new program guide colors suck!!!

Oops, I just created a new thread on this. I guess misery loves company. This was a completely POINTLESS change!!! I just don't understand it.

Problem with Favorites color in the guide on 722k

Evidently, Dish did a software update on the 722. I noticed some things are different and that is OK. Except, they shuffled the colors on the favorites and it is beyond annoying. It used to be that "All", "All Sub" and "All HD" were a shade of blue. Then you had orange, green, yellow, etc. for...

    Remote troubles on TV2 UHF

Amazingly after dealing with this issue for a couple of years I was able to solve this. I needed to raise the UHF antennae a good bit higher up than it was. I had to make a coax cable to get it higher but it works.

    Remote troubles on TV2 UHF

We have a 722 and 322 receiver. The 322 remotes work great on both TV1 IR and TV2 UHF. The 722 works fine on TV1 using IR remotes but we've had issues with TV2's UHF remote for awhile. It's almost non-responsive and very sluggish. I've tried changing remotes, batteries, repositioning the UHF...

How are these signal readings? 119/110/129

Does this mean they are actually weaker signals (8PSK) or do they just show up that way? Also, TP 21 on 129 is definitely higher. Mine is 81 compared to mid to upper 60's on the other TPs.

BBC HD needs a 3rd dish??

The EA dish picks up 61.5/72.7/77. Your receivers support MPEG-4 so that shouldn't be an issue for EA vs. WA. You would get all national SD and HD programming off of the EA 1000.4 dish. Your locals may not be on the EA setup and that might be the issue at hand. Which DMA are you in?

    Platinum HD

As far as I can tell, everything else looks ok. The $17 fee is correct for a second dual tuner DVR.
  24. J

    Platinum HD

Are you being charged for Platinum and Gold HD??? If so, then yes, you are being ripped off. You should get it fixed and have Dish credit you for "their error".
  25. J

    Platinum HD

Yes, more HD channels (some nice new channels too) for the exact same price of $10.00 a month for the GoldHD. Kind of dirty to do it that way but its par for the course.
