That is a bad deal. To let others know, dispute the charges on your first bill, before you send a payment in and instead of cancelling the credit account you could report the card as lost/stolen, that will automatically suspend the old account from future charges and will give you a new card...

My 622 and Gold package is online. :D The installer fellow, used my old single cable from outside the house. Mounted the Dish 1000 where my Dish 500 was and changed out my 510 for the 622.

Thanks for that. My concern was if you are encouraged to sign up for paperless billing, or if you are automatically signed up for paperless billing and paperless billing is auto pay.....then, if you decide to cancel paperless billing/auto pay, does it cost you to change.

If Dish did a hostile take-over, then Tivo would probably have no say in the matter. A hostile take-over would be Dish purchasing a controlling share of TIVO publicly traded stock. Currently going for less than $8 a share TIVO Stock

Hypothetically: If you buy your dish DVR, let's say from EBAY, and you subscribe to Dish Network for service.....and.......they disable your DVR player. Can you sue them for vandalism of personal property? :)

Had the same problem, last night, myself. Turned it off...ok. Next day turned it on.....just the title bar showed. After frantic button pushes, got the DVR recording page so I could watch some recorded UFC. About half way into it...it stopped. Just had a black screen Unplugged it...
