    DISH Launches dishNET Broadband

    Thanks JSheridan, that explains it.

    DISH Launches dishNET Broadband

Why do people think Exede and Hughesnet are going to be the same? Sure, they use the same reflector and different TRIAs and modems. This dealer sounds like they are selling both Exede and Hughesnet services and are economizing on their inventory. I don't understand how it makes sense that...

    Dish UHF Remote Tabs

Here you go. It's packed when you buy one separately. http://tech.dishnetwork.com/departmental_content/TechPortal/pdf/tech/guides/6.4_Remote.pdf If that's not your remote, look here, but the tabs are universal for UHF remotes: DISH Network - Tech Portal

FiOS and the DiSH 625 modem

No. Verizon FiOS is not VoIP. There is no such "disclosure" because FiOS is specifically designed to be a real telephone connection in every way. It is totally compatible and works perfectly with my TiVo's modem, my alarm system's modem, my fax machine's modem, my DiSH 322 receiver, and...

    Who sells LNB's for 118.75?

If you're truly a paying subscriber to DiSH Network, just call them and have them set it up. It's exotic and nonstandard and they will do it for no charge. No legitimate product for the North American market can do circular polarity in FSS which is what DiSH Network requires for 118.75.

    Help! Dish DVR 625 Problems

I have the same problem. The only change is that I am now a FiOS subscriber and I am using FiOS for my analog phone line. I think the DiSH 625 DVR is not compatible with FiOS.

FiOS and the DiSH 625 modem

Does the DiSH 625 DVR modem work with FiOS? I'm beginning to think it doesn't. I am on my second replacement receiver and it will not dial out successfully. Not only that, but when it tries to dial out, when I'm listening on the other line it is full of static. Does the DiSH 625 DVR modem...

    Dish's FCC Filing on E-14 Satellite to 119 W

Spectrum 5 only exists to suppress competitors for money. Thing is you don't know who is supplying the money until you figure out who the complaint is against.

DISH antenna stolen - twice. Help!!

What kind of resale value can a thief get fencing a DiSH Network LNB and switch? Only the DPP44 seems to be worth stealing, and even then you have to have some kind of serious DiSH Network knowledge to know so.

    Bare-bones international service

You can't do this online, but I just called customer service and I'm so happy with the American folks answering the phones. Since we converted to FiOS we wanted to keep our beloved Chinese channels in the Taiwanese Mega Pack. The system allowed us to remove all our channels and go back to...

Upgrade to 500+ problems on 625 DVR

I did just that when one of the lines in my two-line cable failed. It occasionally pops up a message about having a problem with your switch when you first turn it on but as long as you send all your DVR recordings to "TV1" you'll be just fine.

    How to repair 625

Thanks for the info. Getting a replacement now. We've had DHPP for as long as we had DiSH Network even though I'm an FTA hobbyist. I used the online chat and it was very quickly resolved. Before I used the chat I tried calling 5 times and the system hangs up when I try to transfer to...

    How to repair 625

My DiSH DVR 625 is clicking and has "Error 024". We cannot view our DVR recordings--it always says "data not available." Is this a hard drive failure? Can I fix it?

    Must Carry Question

NJN's charter and their reason for existence is for the New Jersey television market. NJN is not for Philadelphia DMA and not for New York DMA, but the entire state of New Jersey. Since their situation is rather unique I wonder if someone knows how they handle must-carry in Phila and NYC markets?

    Single-wire solution for HDTV upgrade?

I have a converted SuperDiSH Plus with a DP34 switch on the side of my house that feeds two cables to each receiver. The new location for the HDTV has only one RG6 coaxial cable with little practicality of running a second line. I am currently using this line for "TV2" UHF feed from a DVR in a...

    Ciel 2 Tracking

Hi, Quantum! I suspect they are using the TT&C transponders. Does anyone in the forum have access to any TT&C equipment that can receive this data? And speaking of TT&C, what became of that video camera that's supposed to be on one of these EchoStar birds?

    Ciel 2 Tracking

The way I understood how satellites move is to reduce the orbit slightly and wait for it to come around to the location you want, then increase the orbit to park it. No high thrust is involved here at all. Satellites are shuffled all the time (esp. the Echostar ones) with panels deployed.

    DISH NETWORK TERMINATES RETAILERS

Are they terminated because they were selling FTA receivers? Does Echostar still impose that restriction on retailers that they're not allowed to also sell FTA receivers?

Hah, that means they have more wiggle room for squeezing more channels and degrading the picture quality even further.

    24 hour NOGGIN?

Has Nick GAS actually had any new programming since early summer? There were rumors floating around that the current incarnation of GAS was a rotation of reruns that was fed from either Echostar or Nick itself.

New Dish Installed and Cell Phone does not work

You said you have Sprint, so that would be 1900 MHz. The intermediate frequency being sent down from the dish to your receiver can interfere with that band very slightly. It's not exactly in the range but it's close enough to cause trouble especially since you said your cell reception is weak...

    Slingbox 2.0 controlling 625 receiver

I have a Slingbox controlling a 625. The new 2.0 version of Slingbox has a channel guide but the Slinbox is sending too many numbers to the 625 receiver when it tries to change channels directly. What setting do I use to get the Slingbox to control my 625 from the channel guide properly?

International Packages No Longer Available for New Customers

It is only the bundled packages that are changing, not necessarily the channels themselves. I subscribe to a couple of Chinese packages and none of the actual *channels* are mentioned in that PDF, but some of the "packs" are, and they changed them around this year, too. Consolidation of...
