Just to confirm for the OP, I installed the Iomega Pestige 500GB as pictured on my 211, and it's working flawlessly. Fairly quiet and a great looking brushed metal case, too.

Quick update for this thread. I was getting the 866 error after months of flawless use of my Western Digital MyBook 500GB. I used Dish's online chat tech support, and they immediately checked my sw version (L449) and then re-authorized my receiver. That fixed the problem immediately. If...

Has the possibility of a Dish/DirecTV merger been completely nixed? If not, could spinning off the hardware division be in preparation for that? Dish/DirecTV merge, with what used to be Echostar hardware as the exclusive hardware provider.

Same trouble here with my TX-SR700. The first two 622 remote codes for Onkyo do allow me to turn it on and control volume, but nothing else. Check this thread for more info... none of the codes work to power Onkyos off, which is what the scan tests. Nice, huh? :)

Quick update... The $200 DishHD rebate is for new activations only. The $100 rebate is available to existing customers who upgrade, as we knew.

Absolutely true, in general. The rebate this mailer references is good for existing customers who are upgrading to a DishHD metal package, though... at least the $100 version that we knew about before. I'll call Dish to do some recon and report back.
