According to the e-mail, if our 622 is not in standby mode, we won't get the udpdate. Will we get another opportunity to get it later? Maybe overnight? I really need this update to fix my OTA problems. I am one of many who have contacted Dish's tech support about the problem.

I called Dish tech support and I was told that they were unaware of this problem (yeah right) and they will be working on it (whatever that means). Just sounds like an easy answer to get off the phone with an upset customer.

I have a 622 at my house and I do not have a land line. You can't use the interactive features, which I don't think is a big loss anyway. I've heard that people get charged for having an extra tuner, but I have never gotten that on my bill before.

I have an over the air antenna attached to my dish to get my locals. If I were to make a "move" to another city, would i get that city's locals through my programming guide and still keep my current locals too with my OTA (2 sets of locals)? Or would the "move" interfere with my OTA?

I'm actually about 275 miles from the outside edge of Spot Beam #9 and when I do a Dish Pointer test on Satellite 110, Transponder 31 I get a signal strength of 98! How is it possible that I'm getting a signal strength from that far away?!
