Still a little puzzled... Currently AT60+ on the Dish web site shows as $39.99. On the new pricing list (PDF, first post of this thread) AT60+ shows as $34.99 and is being converted to AT100+. Shows as no change in price but it is $5 less than current price. Nothing is mentioned about locals but...

Right now I have DishHD Bronze + locals. With the new package structure it looks like I will be converted to AT100 and DishHD + locals. I have been wanting to add the local sports pack part of the old AT60+ and Dish told me I'd have to upgrade to DishHD Gold and I declined. I'm assuming that...

Why don't they offer a BronzeHD Plus pkg to complement the AT60+ pkg so the RSN would be included for $5 more?

If you have the Protection Plan or within the 90 install warranty, just call and tell the CSR you are having a problem with 129 signal strength. They will probably ask for the signal strength on TP 17 and if less than 60 they will sent out a tech and tell him, not the CSR, you want the 2nd dish...

I had a E* tech come out and replace my D1000 with 2 D500's, one for the 110-119 and the other for the 129. He setup the 129 one with the standard (Y ?) connector and a single LNB for the 129 is in the space where the 119 LNB normally is mounted and the 110 LNB space is empty. Not sure if this...

My tech used the 500 and a Y bracket (for 2 LNBs) with the LNB installed on the right side (normally for 119) and no LNB on the left. Is that correct?

I had a tech come out this weekend to check my weak signal on the 129. I got lucky and he replaced the 1000 with two 500's, one dedicated to the 129. Better signal strength on all three sat's now. The 129 now has high 60's to high 70's and before the best was high 50's. Not as nice looking...

Are you saying that if I have basic cable, analog and unencrypted digital HDTV QAM, that the 622 can be set to view and/or record these channels? For example, my HDTV has a built-in QAM tuner that, without a CableCARD or cable box, I can view my HDTV network channels thru Comcast basic cable...

Press the Sys Info button on the 622 concealed front panel. There is a remote function to do this but I don't see it on the 622 remote. I have it on my universal remote. I see Jim5506 posted that it is menu-menu, but there is a single button press if you have a programmable remote.

So, when talking to a CSR to request the 1000.2 dish how do we speak the name of this dish so there's no mistaking it? Is it dish one thounsand point two... or dish one thousand phase two... or dish one thousand version two... or ???

That might be old info. See the ralfyguy post where he asks Scott about the size here. Scott says it's about 3" larger.

How much better is yet to be seen. The 1000.2 is not that much larger but has an intergrated LNBF. The only big improvement I've seen reported was using a 36" dish dedicated to the 129. Mikef5- I'm in Novato and just had a 1000 and 622 installed. The best signal strength that the installer...

Is that right? $6 for each DVR or $6 total for all DVRs on the account? D* has one charge for all DVRs.

Comparing the KNTV-DT feed here on Comcast and with Dish 622 and they both look about the same, Comcast maybe just a bit better. PQ not terrible but not that good either. I haven't seen any artifacts. Looks like 480p at best.

Not sure about this... For example, NFL Network is not part of AT60 (and therefore not part of DishHD Bronze) yet NFL Network HD is part of DishHD Bronze. Will those of us with DishHD Bronze be losing NFL Network HD?

But why? Is NGC-HD so much more expensive to E* that other HD? It is rumored that D* will be adding NGC-HD soon so we'll see how they do it.
