S418 software for the Original Hopper

Very bad idea, I hate it. This was the first thing I noticed. When it's bed time, I turn off tv and continue watching in bedroom on joey. Now it doesn't work. Can't "join" hopper from bedroom. :( Not only that, by turning off hopper it loses the ability to rewind and pick up what I...

    Pause Unpause skipping ahead

If it helps anyone. The nodes seem problematic. Of course it could still be hopper. I changed nodes and the next few days Joey was 10 times better. Actually tolerable. I then needed a good single node for another job and put a dual node on. Now the old issues are gone but every 15...

    Pause Unpause skipping ahead

Finally found this thread. My joeys are worthless dvr wise. Never know where rw or ff will get you. Skip not much better. Scale is delayed and worthless. Try it on audio channels. Doesn't work at all. Slow forward from pause and it just sits for a minute, then jumps ahead. Certain...

Can't get in. Yesterday or today.

Thinking about DISH? I'd Think again.

And there's the problem. Local retailer would not lie. They are subject to charge back. Plus you know where they live. Order from an 800 number at your peril!

    Hopper/Joey (Coax Cable Lengths)

Would only make sense that you could go another 50' over a run with 2way splitter. Or 100' over a run with 3way. And 200' more than a run with 3way and rg-59. However the 200' given may be for a single run of RG-6 with no splitter. :(

    Hopper Diplexer Question

I'm betting yes. I misunderstood. Seems as though it would work as a tap, as shown in the diagrams.

    Hopper Diplexer Question

The better question might be, will a good diplexer work as a tap? And pass to 3000mhz?

    Hopper Diplexer Question

If I understand correctly. My guess is no. The uhf freq will be greatly attenuated on the sat port. That's the job of a diplexer. Uhf will be down over 24db on sat port. Is that your intention? Passing MoCA (650-875 MHz) thru sat port?

    superdish to dish 1000

http://www.satelliteguys.us/dish-network-forum/138560-vip211-superdish.html Should check in more often. Can't believe that everyone is not adding 129 lnb to their 121sd. :(

    VIP211 and SuperDish

If you have a sd121, just add a 129 lnb. No need to repoint or buy anything other than a DP single. I'm in an old sd121 market and do this every day for adding 129. Better signal than smaller dish.

Setup Help - two Dish500 satelites with twin LNBs

Yes, if it is a legacy twin. If it's not marked DP, it's legacy. Dish frowns on this. (two dish)

    remote eats batteries

The bad remotes draw about .5 ma in standby mode. A good one draws less than .5 ua. Customer reported that batterys last about two weeks. This may help some dealers. You can have your retailer check it. Or check it yourself if you have a meter. I will post a picture if any interest.

    118 from sd121

No 119! This is not a one-dish solution. Just a novel way to get 118 from a 121sd.

Send Signal from two receivers, to one tv, possible??

Yes, just use a standard splitter as a combiner to combine the output of the 722 with the tv2 output of the 322. The channel format and number is changed from the "modulator set-up" screen on both recievers. Just keep the channels three apart. Or more. Also try to keep them away from any...

    118 from sd121

Should also work with 121 with another fss lnb. 129, 121, 118, 110 should work for some.
  23. I

    118 from sd121

What I do is just use the 121 fss lnb on the 119 circular feed. The other lnb is for 129. The extra slot covered with bubble wrap is for 110. If you have a 121 dish. Does not require repoint. Just lnb swap. No 119 of course.

Separator doesn't work with diplexors in line to DPP44?

Try removing one diplexer at a time if you don't have spares. To see which one is not passing one of the blocks or commands.

    118 from sd121

Couldn't find anything with a quik search. I don't get on here much. Does anyone else use a type 1 sd121 for reception of 118? Without the kit of course. Seems like a good tech tip, but may be nothing new.
