    Another good site You might also want to checkout: Monoprice Although they don't have quite the selection of Firefold, they are unbelievably cheap (and fast shipper). I have used one of their HDMI splitters without any perceptable loss of quality. Good luck.

    Yes, you can just replace the dish and the lnb. But as previously mentioned its not cheap. Another point to consider it is a bit more dificult to point since you are trying to hit 4 satellites at the same time.

    I did my own install of a 1000+ and had lots of difficulty tweaking it for the 118. I've never been able to get above 60 on the 118, but it seems be very stable. I've never had any dropouts even on the transponder where I was getting a max of 54. I wonder if it is more resistance to dropouts...

    I researched this about a year ago and at that point there was only one capture card that was capable of capturing HD input and it costs in excess of $5K. So as far as I know, you'll have to look at the R5000 or keep forking out the dough to dish.

    If you have the NBA TV channel (402, I think) as part of your package then you will recieve the NBA HD channel. I would estimate that about 1 in 4 games on NBA TV are broadcast in HD. There was a schedule posted somewhere last year, I would assume that the same will happen this year.

    Everything you are saying makes complete sense. It probably is not a limitation of the switch but the recievers that dictate which port the various satellites should go into. And if you don't have any "limited" recievers than you can pretty much do what you want with the ports.

    I had the exact same instructions and followed them to a T. And had no luck on the 118 until I switched 118 & 129. Although SmityWhity's explaination might expain why moving the 118 to the 3rd slot fixed the problem.
